I am always dumbfounded at people who like parrots in general but don't bother to learn more about them. These intelligent animals suffer because they are highly sensitive and also because they live long lives. So it is heartbreaking when one of them loses its owner. Yes, they can be fun but having a cockatoo, for instance, takes a lot of patience and hard work.

I have a flock of wild Cockies show up every morning and late afternoon. I know they are smart but the other day I was amazed by what I saw. The neighbors have a rotating ventilator on top of their house and it was spinning fairly fast. A big group landed on the roof and took turns spinning around on it as the others watched. Then another would have a turn and entertain the audience. They were really enjoying themselves. This went on for twenty minutes. They are natural clowns and know how to keep themselves and their group amused.

so much thanks for people who care for these intelligent wild animals that are not domesticated over thousands of years to be kept by humans. The amount of love and attention they need (especially being devoid of a flock) is immense, and then when the birds become psychologically traumatized it is even that much more effort needed to provide them humanely with what they need; find truly committed homes- it's a heavy responsibility.

What a horrific situation he was in---it happens all too often though. Parrots take a special kind of person who can live with them and provide for their unique needs. I'm sorry his adoption didn't work out, but it's better you found out sooner than later. He'll find the right home I'm sure. Thank you for being so compassionate.

This was such a sad story. I hate this. I deal with strays all the time and it astounds me the horror stories I hear about abandonment and animal neglect. These creatures don't know what's happening. They are completely innocent. Thank you for doing right by this little dude. You should just keep him. Call it a "foster fail". That bird loves you.

This is the kind of person that is a real gem in the world of so much darkness. Thank you for having such a heart of gold for the animals 🥹 You are truly lovely. ❤ So is Ramsey. Shame on the people who thought a rescue would automatically be open. They are so unrealistic. Ramsey deserves better. Forget those people. And also the abusers and neglectors of animals.... huge shame on you monsters.

What kind of people would expect a bird to be completely comfortable in 2 days of moving in with them? And not be willing to give him a little time. I hope he finds the people who will love him the most.

He's beautiful. What a shame that no one wants to take the time and patience to properly care for wonderful, intelligent feathered soul. They are extremely intelligent and curious. I wish I could have him. God Bless you and yours. Please stay safe.
