Spinny vs flat hitting. An interesting match as Gauff and Pegula have opposing styles of tennis where Gauff can add lots of spin and height over the net whereas Pegula likes to hit flat and close to the net.
From this perspective we can watch how well Gauff moves around the court and slides on the hardcourt and hits with a powerful open stance. On the other hand, we can see how little margin over the net Pegula can consistently hit the ball.
Both players are really good at holding their ground and not getting bushed back behind the baseline so they can take as much time away from their opponent.
