Coconut oil reduce the excess oil from your skin, because oil wash out oil, it dosent clog your pore as after their use you would wash it all. You may apply it after a clean face but is better at night where it will absorb it and give their benefits. Some doctors dosent advice it because most of their patients come with akin conditions that maybe Acne or rosacea and in that case they arent advixe it. If you have mix skin, oily or dry and dont have any acne prone skin, coconut oil is just the best.

I use it on my skin and in my diet after my new puppy was treated for mange. She was discovered in the desert and was malnourished. Her coat was a mess and ears were rigid like cardboard. Coconut oil was her miracle cure. I figured it couldn’t hurt. I love how my 74 year old skin looks and feels.

Yes. I use coconut oil and castor oil every day at night as a moisturizer. I mix a very tiny amount of castor oil in my liquid foundation to achieve a more natural look.

Put some coconut oil in your hand then sprinkle on some baking soda and mix it in your hand then wash your face with it and rinse it off and dry and your face is clean and exfoliated and soft and moisturized!!

@@thunder2174 Yes. Scars too. I've seen it even improve burn scars if used regularly for a few weeks. Use it before sleep, place a few drops on your skin and massage it and then go to sleep.

Aloe Vera juice directly from the leaves is also great at moisturizing and is great at helping with inflammation in the skin. I mix it sometimes with a little of my SPF with HA.

If it’s atopic dermatitis then it can help to rebuild the skin barrier. If it’s truly fungal then you may end up needing a topical antifungal like nizoral shampoo, clotrimazole or even prescription forms like ketoconazole or nystatin

@@charlottechristian1 put some on your hands, the warmth of your hands will melt it and you can then put it on the ends of your hair, then comb or brush it through. Only use a LITTLE as you don't want greasy hair. You can put more on, leave it set for an hour or so, then wash your hair. That is a mask treatment for the hair. It makes a very good conditioner and a good hair dressing. As long as you are "greased up" rub into your skin, face, etc.

@@westlilopz keeping it moist will help. Silicone gel sheeting at night may help depending on the scar type and may be worth meeting with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon about laser treatments

Would use a gentle cleanser to remove at end of day. Would use sunscreen. Although coconut oil provides modest spf (7-10) it’s not enough to protect your skin for longer periods in the sun

Salicylic acid in the morning followed by moisturizer helps. Diet high in Omega 3 fatty acids and low in milk/ whey protein/ sugary- high glycemic index foods can help

For blackheads and acne I recommend benzoyl peroxide wash in the morning and adapalene at night (use every 2-3 nights for awhile and work up)

Hiii doctor. I've got a question cause I still have acne but I've got some acne scars. I saw you replied to someone saying to use retinol but I've heard you need to do the proper research on retinol before using it. so far my skin care routine is just to use Pear soap, Simple face wash, cetaphil and moisturiser. Retinol or stronger Rx retinoids can help the discoloration and texture of acne scars but it’s not easy to use. It can be very irritating at first and cause redness and peeling. When starting it’s best to only use every few nights and increase as tolerated

You can apply directly. In acne prone skin it can sometimes make acne worse

Is it necessary to apply sunscreen? I asking this because i apply Virgin coconut oil both morning and night. If it necessary, can i apply sunscreen after applying Coconut oil..

Yes it’s important to use sunscreen to protect against skin cancer and sun damage. You can apply after coconut oil

Glycolic acid like the ordinary 7% toner can help. Use only one to two times a week to avoid irritation and use sun protection

Coconut oil will not change the color of your skin but you want to be careful out in the sun since any sun exposure can darken the skin

hlo I am 18 and I need a proper diet what would it be ? I mean I half pimple on my face 4or 5. and my hair are also shedding. so I am confuse can you suggest an easy an healthy diet and is it good to drink tea 2 times in a day. caz this is my routine

The Mediterranean diet which is full of green vegetables, fish, nuts, whole grains and legumes with moderate amounts of lean chicken is best. Minimize sugar intake as well. Tea as long as it doesn’t have a ton of sugar should be fine:)
