Here for this!! Ever since I started pre-pooing my hair is doing so well. These days I move between coconut oil, castor oil and Shea oil (my hair loves these oils) for my overnight pre-poo. I never skip this step. Ps: this beat is a vibe💃🏽

castor oil and Shea oil do not penetrate the hair shaft so better of sticking to the coconut oil

@valerieminter3377 my hair doesn't like coconut oil either, i just found out im low porosity, girl let me tell u how daily i using coconut oil as a prepoo and AFTER styling my hair, that was a disaster! It made my hair brittle, not soft ,not manageable etc! So my advice please dont continue to use coconut oil! Now, unfortunately, shea and caster oil don't penetrate the hair strand ,so instead of coconut oil you can try murumuru butter or babassu oil ,those will definitely penetrate the hair strand ! Goodluck sis! ❤

Before locking my hair, I started using this suggestion. It made a huge difference with my wash day. I'm not surprised at how much your channel has grown. You provide AWESOME advice.

Thank you! I use this and Avocado, olive, and castor oils. My hair is always the best after an oil prepoo, but we called them hot oil treatments!

I infused my coconut oil with essential oils and leave it in the fridge. I apply it like grease and it is much less messy.

I would plastic wrap then add a little blow dry heat after. Idk if you have low porosity hair

I LOVE me some pre-pooing!! I use Jojoba, olive, avocado or coconut oils because my hair loves these oils!! And I've been doing this since 2016, and my hair hasn't grown past bra-length in years til doing this!!❤️

Do use it before and after? My hair seems to be fine with it before but it'll make it stay on paper if I leave it on or use it after washing

@@ChesireWaltz not certain if you're asking me but I only use it before as a pre poo and then it has to be shampooed out and I never use it again on dry hair or hair that will dry with it on without shampooing it out first.

I just did this today but I wet my hair first. Is this ok? I should've watched this first but I do have your flashcards and ebooks. My hair was in a week old twist out. Adding water helped enhance the detangling effects of coconut oil. What are your thoughts?

Don’t use coconut oil. It’s a 4/5 on the comedogenic scale meaning it is likely to clog your follicles. It is best used on skin

Won't it clog your skin too? You do know that the scalp is skin... right? Ps... you're not leaving it on the scalp; you wash it off, that's why she said "prepoo" 😅😅

She's using the oil on the shaft of the hair, not directly onto her scalp. And she's rinsing it right off 👍🏽🙏🏽
