I'm from Kerala living in mumbai. It's our traditional way of cooking to add coconut milk in gravys. You can make egg curry also in the same style by adding coconut milk and in coconut oil. It tastes divine with appam, roti, puri. . Infact we make chana gravy also by adding coconut milk.
