I met Cocorosie when I went to a Squarepusher concert in SF a couple years ago. Their tour van looked like a taco truck so I walked over there and asked them if this was a taco truck and the girl asked her rodies if this was a taco truck and then I was like,"you look like the girl from CocoRosie" and she smiled and I was like I love your music!

I remember discovering this over a decade and having my mind blown. Still absolutely beautiful.

I love how they made a group so freaking unique and made it work perfectly. This proves that stepping away from the usual to do your own thing can result in something really special. Like, there's no way for society to discover cool new things without someone going out and trying something totally new.

This the best version, and when she goes into the chorus part it hauntingly beautiful.

This version of the song is amazing! The emotion bursting through this song is fast paced, raw, and in your face! Just watch Sierra and Bianca feed off each other throughout. Where the original is both satisfying and beautiful, this version brings to fruition so much more power. I bet the French audience was stunned.

I prefer the original to this but I can't deny how fucking incredibly versatile they are. I'm so impressed with how much different this dynamic is but it's still as pretty intense as the original in some way. Love CocoRosie man

I cannot believe people would say such negative things about a song that has SO MUCH emotion put into it. Can you not hear how hurt she is? CAN YOU NOT HEAR THE LYRICS? She is singing about her pain and I gaurentee you that this is better then any stupid song on the radio. This has real emotion. And you can feel her sadness.

She's singing about being incested by her fucked up father "first kiss for Princess"...and she's gonna shake him off look back with no remorse. Bring incested by a close family member when you're a small child is extremely psychologically damaging, to say the least, but they have found a brilliant way to channel it through their music.
