I couldn’t fit Tarrey town or Jubilife village theme in it but my intent is there
There wasn’t much to do so in the season as a vet so I spend a lot of time gawking at Rhythm guide. Everyone else does it too right? … right?

I was immediately wheezing with laughter at the fish and aLL THE CANDLES FROM HOME RUNNING INTO AVIARY, then it only got better from there. And even BETTER when you realize that brand new players not only land in aviary, they land there after BEING STRUCK OUT OF THE SKY BY LIGHTNING

Abyss Guide should act as a ferry to bring us to various seasonal areas that Wind Paths don't give us access to

This would be so cool! Wind Paths was one of my favorite new areas because of how functional it is and it's a shame that the different portals were quest-related because that means they won't be able to just expand it willy nilly. Treasure Reef already feels so far away from everything else so an Abyss ferry would be an amazing idea 😢

I once had a dream there was another set of wind paths and Treasure Reef (and some other imaginary Wasteland area I made up) were locations you could go to, there would probably need to be more (seasonal) locations to create a new functional shortcut to get to them though.

@@coleyjervase they absolutely could wedge in ONE extra exit tunnel from wind paths into a new hub that connects new/upcoming areas, so it's all integrated together in some form

I was new during the Season of Revival and I managed to get to the Eden quest right as I was supposed to actually go to Eden for the first time. I originally thought it was part of the game to add to the angst 😭

That's the intention! Aviary is the the new starting point for players so it essentially guides you through the main story.

I laughed soooo hard at this! Well done. I was not a totally new player for this season, but I had only recently started playing more often, and I still haven’t done Eden yet (I’m playing shards and stock piling wing buffs first). I can totally see how this is an absolutely excellent set up for story arc and play through for brand new players, but for me it was definitely like you showed, this zero to sixty leap from cute Aviary quests to the steward going, “By the way, how about a nice trip into Mordor?” 😂

That’s a reason why I didn’t use the traditional moth character like previous recaps. I could see how the experiences are gonna vary so much between players with different progress. Thanks for sharing yours :D

Also, I’ve rewatched this several times now and cannot stop laughing at the Steward cheerily waving you farewell with his handkerchief and the skull/crossbones speech bubble. Utterly accurate. ☠️♥️😆

i was so excited seeing the abyss guide at the fireworks festival and then realized they are literally nowhere to be seen within the rest of aviary 😭i suppose their real treasure were the fireworks they saw along the way this animation helped me wake up with a laughing start, great work as always 💞

The way each other quest just flashed by bc it was doing previous seasons is *accurate* Like, I joined right before Revival. Then Aviary was added, and I did the beginning quests. But in the days between quests, I was roaming the realms and I found and completed Every Previous Season as I found them. So by the time it the previous Season Guides showed up in Aviary with the Revival quest to help them, I already had! Granted, now that Aviary is the initial spawn point for new players, it's actually a good way to direct them to finding and completing old seasons.

I really love that you're using Undertale- Your Best friend as bgm here... Not only it's the intro in unknown place like here (so insightful and creative!) especially when Flower's nature (you know I know) will clash some colourful contrast with Aviary kid 🤣 colourful red stones maybe... love all your works! If anyone's wondering why abyss guide and assembly were there at the firework event. That's because there had been planned to be a shared space in some of beta previous builds where the assembly guide would be just standing their next to it with a little camp (above the shops on the right side you can see a little black brick tile above it like the ones used in shops!) As for the abyss guide shops on the right side beneath the clouds (basically you go inside of them) you'll find a huge amount of water out of nowhere well buddy that's because there used to be a sand castle in that water and the abyss guide was floating on the water with a small boat moving in circles. There had been lots of things scrapped from aviary (not talking about concept art but things in game that were scrapped later on). Sorry for my little rambling. The animation is great as always Keep up the good work

To be honest, I actually kept the old home base because I've been playing since 2019/2020 and I just can't imagine another home as my sky home ahahah, but I still enjoyed that season and I really liked bringing back life to the aviary village step by step. Also, the immediate side-eye after having to do Eden once again to finish the quests is SO real ahah
