This footage was recently uploaded by KZfaq user paraatheid, and that original post can be seen via the link below. I've edited it here by syncing the audio from a stereo soundboard recording. The Dutch TV broadcast actually cut in just before Liz Fraser starts singing, so I split and edited about 40 seconds worth of footage from the broadcast to visibly compensate for the extra audio intro section.
A huge thanks must go to paraatheid for the original upload, and for their kind permission in allowing this post...

Spacefreak Agreed. As much as I love Simon and all he brought to the Twins, the driving, melodic awesomeness of Will’s lines is unquestionable and I really would have loved to hear what his influence on the band’s sonic evolution would have been. I sometimes imagine what certain later songs might have been like with one of Will’s bass lines driving them...🤔

Wow I just happened to be looking for live performances of Elizabeth Fraser today. This was the first one I bumped into. After I finished watching it I noticed that it's a performance from 29th January 1983. Today it's 29th January 2023 .. No algoritms were involved. A pure coincidence I bumped into this performance that is exactly 40 years old today. *__*

What sets apart the Garlands LP from any other CT's work is Heggie's thunderous, brooding bass lines. They dominate the song structure and they set the tone. Shallow then Halo, Garlands, Blind Dumb Deaf and this one are all perfect representatives of bass driven melodic structure. In Shallow then Halo, in particular, in the first minute of the song the only melody heard comes from the bass and Liz's voice.

The palace in Hollywood. I was just a little girl of 17. They had a drum malfunction.. but it was just a blip. So incredibly cool set list. Wish I could live it again.

Thank God for the Cocteau Twins!!! And, Thank Spirit that they evolved to very beautiful, psychedelic music from their punk/pseudo-Goth origins

You can hear the ghost of Siouxsie and the Banshees here it was later that they honed their sound. She's an amazing vocalist !

Wow! What a treasure (no pun intented) - this must have been around the time I was lucky enough to see them live,at Liverpool University, and it´s such a joy too see such a stripped-down performance in contrast to the highly polished videos that came later (which I also love, don´t get me wrong!)

So I kept hearing the cover by Deftones and I kept thinking to myself about how much it didn't sound like a Deftones song, so I decided to look it up and I would've never guessed it was Cocteau twins but God I love it !!

She suffered (suffers) from PTSD and anxiety, that mixed with the drugs she would have for breakfast, make her look so accelerated, almost intimidating. but yeah, also cool and hot.

I just know that I have always fancied Elizabeth Frazer strange, unusaual and perfect and always will be, I fell head over heels for her in the 80s when I too was a very young and she still looking good now, if there is a song I like best it would be From The Flagstones because everything the Cocteau Twins made is good listening and watching, I really love the video Pearly Dewdrops Drops made in a church.

Saw her live at the Barrowlands for the Heaven or Las Vegas tour, supported by Dolphin City, the night I was there was special, Liz's parents were in the rear of the audience as it was her birthday that day, she was so happy they were there and by god we felt it too. What a show!!

Huh! I'm tired of seeing it happen, I've seen numerous videos re-uploaded from my channel, it hurts even more when they're videos I've taken quite some time editing lots of clips together to create a kind of promo. It's one of the reasons why I've not posted anything for some time now, but I am thinking of making a return and just leave my ID screen card after each video finishes. It may not deter all, but other than YT deleting such duplications, what can one do?

This is what I love about KZfaq. Every once and a while you come across a gem like this. Thanks so much for providing. I know CT is more well known for their later output but I actually favor this early stuff and Garlands is one of my all time favorite albums. It was this and a few other LPs that caused me to become a 4AD label fanatic and buy everything out from that label on sight.
