What beautiful fish. We have them close like that off New England in the springtime--heavily managed fishery down this way. Not everyone can survive. Thanks for putting this up.

Hi from Newfoundland Canada, love the video and what great size cod.

This happens quite often at these wharves... Also in 1996 and 2003 there were tons of cod and herring... Each time they were being fed upon by humpback whales (the whales would breach right along side of the wharves swallowing toms of fish each day... They were there for upto 2 weeks at a time) and harp seals... The giant schools of fish were being followed by the whales and seals... They would correll them into the wharves with no way out...

Lovely green stuff reminds me of when on was on Grimsby trawlers.before it all went wrong.That's a new looking Navy boat at the beginning of the vid compared to the Odin,Tyr etc.

Hello Astros Fishing with small boats is very limited because of the quota system. Only 2-3 boats are allowed net fishing from Reykjavik. It is almost impossible to get work on fishing boats because of the restrictions in the fishery. There is plenty of fish everywhere, but small quotas are political decisions.
