Cod Fishing in Norway: Days 1 and 2

Here I target cod in Norway, fishing the fjords in freezing conditions. Baits used are rag and herring, with some shads also getting in on the action. I was joined by Wayne, aka The Shore Hunter, on this trip and we caught some stunningly marked cod. To top off the session, the Northern Lights made a spectacular appearance.
I show how to catch cod by covering the rigs used and baits.

I had my first trip to Norway about the same time. What a fantastic place. My experience was that darkness was essential to get the fish on the bite. Once it got dark that fishing was amazing. I hope you had a great time.

Yes for us most days it was sunset onwards when most fish arrived. But day 4 for me was really active during daylight hours. Caught loads! And thank you, yes it was a great trip.

Thanks so much. It was a great trip. For me it got better and better as the week went on. Day 4 was epic for me and day 6 got me my best fish. Next video likely to go live Saturday at 17:30, if I can finish off the editing. My Mac mini is struggling with the file sizes and processing 🤪. Problem will be solved next week. Can’t wait to do it all again over in Norway. And can’t quite believe I’ve hit the magic 1k already! Flattered so many people have subscribed.

Its time for me for a 5-6 hour drive and a visit to Chesil for the first time. 🙃 Hope to apply some of that knowledge you and Wayne give out all the time!

I hope you have a brilliant time down Chesil. It is my favourite fishing venue in the UK. I just wish it wasn’t so far away, about four hours drive for me. As for 10k, if I do that it would be out of this world!
