Nice man, I am just confused, I used Codacy on a very old codebase and I was told a function had a Cyclomatic complexity of 115, but when I went through the code there were only 20 possibilities.. Could you tell what could be wrong?

I cannot know for sure. Maybe Codacy has a bug because of having too complex functions :)

So, do you think there are other considerations other than just the number of ways the function could be run.

From cyclomatic complexity point of view, no. It should measure only the number of ways.
