This video goes through all the steps of ABS coding for the Bosch 5.3 and 5.7 modules found in many VW and Audi vehicles. Showing a real world example with a 2003 Audi A4.

when it says you have one minute to do the system test, one minute from when? when you start the car up? and also does vcds need to be connected to ecu while doing this or can you do it without?

Witam a umnie jak wszedłem w kodowanie to kod już miałem zaakceptowany i nic nie musiałem kombinować więcej, sterownik zamieniłem o tych samych numerach co oryginalny, przejechałem się i sterownik sam się skalibrował z pompą i zaczęło działać ABS w Passacie B5.

I tried several times with vcds and hex kkl cable without succesces even though i could read all modules and could program other modules. After i tried the exact same procedure with a launch diagnostic tester and it worked. Probably some thing with to high latency

I have Chevrolet Captiva AWD I HAVE ARRENGE ABS MODULE THAT ONE IS USED WITH SAME PART NUMBER NEED TO DO CODING WHEN I CLEAR WITH SCANNER FAULT LIGHTS OFF AFTER SUM TIME LIGHT GETS ON ( ABS ,HILL DOWN ASSIST, STEERING ANGLE, TRACTION CONTROL) NOW THIS LIGHTS ON PLEASE HELP WHAT CAN BE DONE OR SHOULD I GO FOR NEW MODULE

It works also for skoda superb 1, 2.8 AMX. Of course login and coding is differenrt but procedure is same. Thx

Hey, so if I have a BOSH 5.7 module with a different letter at the end. Can I program the ABS module to work with my car? I would like to put a module from a 2004 audi a4 b6 into a 2003 audi a4 b6, is this possible or does the letter at the end stop this from being compatible. It seems like you can cross code them, it just wont be "plug and play". Thanks!

Hello! I need to replace my Bosch 5.7 ABS Module. The explanation in the video for login and coding is perfect, but: if I buy a used spare part without information in what car it was built in, do I need to know the original Login datas or can I use those, fitting to my car? Or is there a "general reset"?

When going with a used ABS module, first make sure the part numbers match up 100%. If the letter(s) at the end of the part number are different, they are not the same part. The coding of the ABS module is based on what it is currently installed in, not where it came from. Regards.

Hi! I'm a bit confused about your saying about matching up letter(s), because on my old Bosch 5.7 ABS module I found only numbers: 0265 950 012. I have used ABS module with same numbers: 0265 950 012 for replacing mine. But I can't see any letter(s) at the end. I'm not confident is it good match and I don't want proceed coding, before 100% sure it is right part. Thank you in advance, for reply.

I got a question for you, I’m trying to recode my abs module and I do everything step for step until the basic settings part because I have the unlicensed version, I enter the code but it won’t save, can I still code my module or do I have to pay $100 for the vcds lite license to access basic settings

Hi, nice and informative video. For Audi the brakes code is 1LE you said, but for Skoda what would be the brake code?

Not all Audis have the same pr code. My A4 B6 Avant has the 1LT code

Does VCDS-Lite work to encode a 5.7 ABS Module? From an 2003 A6 4B C5, 2.5TDI Quattro ?

Yes, VCDS-Lite can be used as shown in this video, but you would have to purchase the full version, $99.

Tried running the coding procedure several times on a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro 3.0. After entering the correct coding and login, still getting same 2 codes: 00778 Steering Angle Sensor, 01044 Control Module Incorrectly Coded. We purchased a used ABS module. Part numbers do match. Any ideas?

Hello there. What if the Steering alignment has got "Not OK" ? And for some reason when the steering wheel is straight its giving -75º

+DJTOPKO The first two things that come to mind... a bad G85 sensor, or some one took the steering wheel of and then put it back on -75º off center, thus the G85 is now -75º off center. Get the G85 to read 0º, then pull the steering wheel off, recenter steering wheel, perform alignment, relearn G85. Send cases of L&P from New Zealand to Ross Tech office.

+RossTechVCDS Thank you very much for the answer. according to the owner noone done it. so might be faulty sensor then. Cant i just tell it with the vagcom where new 0° is? why i got to this, is because when you driving the car, brakes will come on on its own. never had problem like this before...

It accepts the coding for my Audi at first but next time I enter the ABS tab, the coding is back to 00000. The brake pressure says it’s above 290 bar and a fault code for the pressure sensor comes up. However, I checked the sensor using a multimeter and it seems to work as it should. Can someone please help?

@@anzor4132 мне данный видос помог адаптировать блок абс на пассат б 5 хотя в английском я тоже не шарю

@@user-vj2yq4hc5v Спасибо за подсказку. Тоже самое, менял подрулевой шлейф, нужно было адаптировать с абс, спасибо ребята с драйва помогли, проблему уже решил. В моем случае нужно было коды прописывать по мимо манипуляций.
