Cody went from the poster boy of controlled chaos and turned into the warning example used by coaches as to what happened when a fighter doesn't listen to their coach or worse changes their coach and strategy mid season when they're already winning. All I gotta say to Faber is something he's probably heard alot especially from his father "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" Lol

@@typompey8469 I hate TJ but no. Cody would need to rely on winning by KO but TJ showed he obviously can hurt Cody just as bad and can put him away, plus he has more weapons and is more composed to win on point wise as well. Cody would need the performance he approach he had against Cruz, but that was like the performance of a lifetime, it was unreal and I honestly don't see him replicating that after losing motivation and confidence in his losses.

At 2:15 that level change to double leg takedown was soo clean. It's was clinical, dude set that up perfectly and that's not easy to do against Cruz. Cruz is a master of takedown defense but Cody made it look easy

What drives me crazy about Cody is that he has all of the tools to be dominant (Power, Speed, Footwork, Wrestling, Elusiveness, etc.) but when he gets into exchanges and sits down on his punches he doesn't move his he off the center line and his hands come down. Even in his early fights you can see he's getting caught clean in exchanges but the guys he fought didn't have the power and/or tools to make him pay. Pair that with his habit of getting over aggressive after getting hit and well, we've seen the outcome. I really hope his last fight was indicator of things to come and he's making the necessary corrections so we can see him at his true potential.

All very good points. I wish he would fight smart too, but regardless, I will never miss a Garbrandt fight. I can’t believe he fought Pedro Muńoz like that! 😳

@@Eric-bl8lp Assuncao? That guy’s been a top 3 bantamweight mainstay since bantamweight was a division. I agree though. EVERYBODY makes mistakes. I’d say Cody got the job done though. 😂😂😂. It’s tough to watch him lose focus though. Tell me this though.. when he bent down and reached behind himself and grab the cage did you have any idea what he was about to do? Don’t lie. 😂. I thought he had lost his mind. Then he’s walking off with his finger in the air!
