Cody Rhodes returned and put on an amazing match with Rollins. Stone Cold Steve Austin was able to put on a surprisingly good match with KO and Bianca Belair got her revenge. What more could you ask for?

Cody’s return is one of my favorite wrestling moments in the last 10 years. I was mind blown and although I wanted it to happen, I didn’t think it was going to. I thought it was going to be Goldberg. Thank god that didn’t happen.

It would have been 10000x more exciting if some dumb f(u)cks hadn’t leaked every second of the negotiation between wwe and cody. Imagine this moment without knowing who it was. We mostly knew it was (except the minority who hoped it wasn’t shane).

Kevin Owens vs Stone cold was one of the match Vince definitely handled perfectly. If they would’ve announced the match 3 weeks before all the focus would’ve been on “stone cold is too old” “older wrestlers are taking after opportunity from the young guys” instead it was a KO show so all the focus fans would be on the story instead of the match genius idea by Vince

Logan's in ring charisma really surprised me. He really knew how to work the camera and the crowd, especially with the Eddie Guerrero thing. That was one of my favorite parts of the night.

He's almost as perfect as a full fledged wwe superstar. He only has to sell finishers correctly. I mean, he ate a double 619, double splashes and a skull crushing finale but still stood up like in half a minute.

Night 1 was freaking amazing. I haven’t been this invested in a Mania since I was a little kid. The only issues I had was Drew kicking out of the End of Days, and the ending of Ronda Vs Flair which was a bit dodgy and underwhelming for the match finish but besides that, I enjoyed every second of it.

I love how everyone unanimously agrees about every aspect of Night 1 of Mania: 1. The first 2 matches were fine. 2. Logan exceeded our expectations. 3. Belair vs Lynch was phenomenal. 4. Cody vs Rollins was a true Mania moment. 5. Ronda vs Charlotte sucked. 6. Austin vs KO was just something else. Night 2 got a hell of a show to Match up to now.

I actually don't agree with 5, I personally enjoyed it. Unexpected end, very physical and stiff (which if done correctly can result in a great match) but Ronda definitely did look rusty, which led to Charlotte having to carry the match throughout some of the match.

I also don't agree with 3, there was a bad no sell botch by Belair which ruined the momentum imo, can't believe no one's really caught that. Match was still good though except towards the end.

In regards to Cody’s return and the rumours surrounding it, I took it with a grain of salt. Every sign pointed towards Cody facing Rollins, but at the same time, it really could have been anyone. That’s why I held my expectations pretty low until the night of the show. I popped seeing Cody back. It was surreal.

Day 1 was STUPENDOUS. Cody vs Seth 😩 Stone Cold vs KO 😩 Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch 😩 Logan Paul, Miz vs The Mysterios 😩. McIntyre vs Corbin was solid too. Only 2 things were bad in my opinion. Flair vs Ronda cuz it was boring and Boogs unfortunately getting injured 😞

You know I'm an AEW fan, but I'm happy that Cody is in WWE and is enjoying himself, no doubt he will smash it there. But I do wanna say AEW should not cry or whine, AEW has taken WWE big stars so it was bound to happen that WWE will take AEW big stars. Also aew fans made fun of WWE fans for losing their stars, so AEW fans should not complain when WWE fans do the same to them now

@@TheeUnknown420 No, it's being AEW fans shit on the product of WWE and constantly saying AEW has constant 5 star matches while WWE struggles, in terms of wrestling yes AEW does have better matches but in terms of entertainment I'll have to go with WWE. At the end of the day you can enjoy whatever show you want as a wrestling fan, we all have preferences but shaming other people's preferences is something people should stop doing, just enjoy the damn product or don't see it at all.

Night 1 was absolutely amazing, from Cody returning, to Bianca winning, to Stone Cold coming back and wrestling a 14 minute match. I absolutely loved everything, even the earlier matches. Logan Paul did better than expected, sad to see my guy Boogs injured though.

I actually liked Flair retaining. Gives more people the chance to beat her, instead of going against a former UFC fighter, and honestly she's not as bad a people say. She cuts good promos, has great matches and is a natural heel. She's definitely over pushed though.

Cody didn't want to put WWE out of business. He just wanted there to be healthy competition. Wrestling AS A WHOLE is better when there is competition. Competition makes both sides WORK HARDER to make fans happy.

I hope Cody gets creative control of his character. I mean, they can't own his name right? He built himself up to greatness outside of the WWE, but in a few months it could be squandered and the only thing Cody got was a huge contract signing bonus.

Also it sucks what happened with Rick Boogs. You could see when Jimmy (or Jay idk) are talking with Shinsuke about how to wrap up the match quickly while they're laying down on the mat.

I think Rhonda Charlotte needed a different build and needed to go on first. They should never have had any contact so you weren't bored of them brawling and you can appreciate how they struggled and scrapped in the match. I like how Rhonda just explodes through her moves its underappreciated. Like brock vs Seth that one yr, if your title match isn't last, go on first and set the tone.

That was a great show, honestly! Like you've said, it might be the best Mania since 30 or 31! I hope Night 2 to deliver as well, especially the main event, I have very high expectations about that match. They have been building it for 6 months, Reigns nad Lesnar must give all they have in order for that to happen, can't wait!
