He basically said nothing. What a tool. If I was the interviewer, the moment he started beating around the bush and saying how much he loves everybody and how great AEW is, I would've asked him straight up "then why did you leave", and he would either be forced to answer or walk away, because I won't let him beat around the bush. Unlike the person before stated - @semyaza555 - I don't think that being "neutral" is even remotely good thing, or the way politicians say nothing is a good thing either. Btw you will see why I put your version of "neutral" in quotes later in this comment, because what Cody did is not neutral. Either say you don't want to talk about it, or don't talk about it at all. IMO, nothing is worse than people who talk and say nothing. Cody wasn't neutral, he flat out refused to answer the question, but instead of saying "no comment", he spent a few minutes saying nothing. Being neutral on the other hand means to be able to objectively look at things without bias and state what seems like the most logical reason for cause and effect, without a care in the world for how bad it may be. Oh and thanks a lot of the timestamp OP!

I haven’t watched wrestling in over 15 years. However what HHH has been doing with the company got me back into it again after decades. Specifically it was Cody Rhodes and his story that got me hooked again. Wrestlemania 40 was so amazing I wanted to cry. So glad I got back into WWE since my childhood. This entire era is amazing so far .

Idc what anyone says, codys emption and crying a lot is one of the most endearing quality in a babyface of this era. Its good to see someone preaching good will and actually be genuine when saying it. I love Roman Reigns admittedly, but i cannot wait to see this man crowned and earn his stripes after years of divisiveness

@@alanchamberlain9902I’ll tell you what would happen next if Cody wins: something. But if Roman wins, nothing will happen until Summerslam. The months that Roman takes off with the belt are agonizing but people forget that once he shows up because he is great when he’s around. But that’s not worth the months of not having a WWE champion on TV.

Cody answering the question about when did he found out he was losing at WM 39 kinda feels like if the fans really got crazy they might've potentially let him won the title at WM 39 but if they didn't get the pop they were looking for this was the backup plan. Build the feud, get him approved and tested by Brock Lesnar, have cody win the royal rumble again and basically just turn him into the ultimate baby face so that when this time comes they get that pop, the reaction they want from the fans with cody being the face of the company.

I feel like him answering like that was to keep a sliver of kayfabe alive. It's the magic. Hearing Cody say he found out after the 3 count. Keeps that disbelief alive. And I'm thankful for that response. We as fans don't have to know all the behind the scenes.

He’s so professional, he holds just enough information back to keep the magic alive, and I’m more excited after the interview for mania then I was before. Yup I keep telling people this Cody would be an amazing heel! I think Cena could’ve been one too, Stone Cold tried but the fans wouldn’t let him lol, But if they’re smart they wait until the fans organically force him to be a Heel, Once the fans turn on him (They Will) then embrace it and then heel, That’s how The Rock did it, Roman, Angle, Edge etc…
