Full circle from 2014, Roman hits Seth with the chair, causing his entire empire to implode. This level of full circle storytelling, intertwining Seth and Roman’s history and Roman’s obsession of the past to have Cody take advantage of it and end the greatest reign of all time is something we’ll likely never see again. What a main event. What a WrestleMania. What a story.

This was literally WWE’s Avengers Endgame. I don’t think nothing in Wrestling will ever top that spectacle ever again!

The best part is that even before all of the run ins, Cody and Roman were indeed having that 5 star wrestling match. They just have insane chemistry for some reason

Before my Grandma passed away last summer, she had watched and attended professional wrestling shows since the late 1960s and was a huge fan until the very end. With this being the first WrestleMania without her, and knowing how huge of a Dusty Rhodes fan she was, it meant a whole lot to me to see Cody finish the story. Wrestling at its peak is the most beautiful form of storytelling ❤️

realising that it took Cody 17 years to become World Champion really hit me, just goes to show how special this moment was, nearly 20 years to achieve his and his dads goal was so incredible to witness!

I honestly couldn’t think of a better end to Roman’s title reign. After nearly 4 years of being the Tribal Chief, everything that Roman had accomplished had crumbled because he still hated Seth for his betrayal 10 years ago.

Cody Rhodes finishing the story is one of the best long term stories Wwe has ever produce.

Easily the greatest WrestleMania main event of all time. The return, the heartbreak, the adversity, old rivals, becoming new friends, final bosses. It had everything you can ask for in a main event match.

WrestleMania 40 Night 2 was straight up CINEMA!

This fued had the perfect booking. From Cody losing at 39 and having his 2012 Cena redemption arc to finally winning the big one at 40

His 2 years long journey, struggle, wins, losses, success, failures to win the championship actually made this much more emotional. Fans could relate themselves with him. WWE made the best decision by not handing over the WWE title to Cody just after his return in 2022. He had to fight and struggled for it. WWE didn't put the belt on him until the fans were literally begging to see him as champion.

i’m a cody fan but let’s be real, everyone deserves their flowers for this, Seth, Roman; and especially The Rock and triple h.

Last 5-10 minutes of the match was just simply epic

Night 2 was truly something else… WOW. Thank you Roman! Thank you Rocky! Thank you Cody! And… Thank you Seth Rollins!

It's the first time i ever cried while watching a wrestling match. One of the best WrestleMania Main events. And Samantha Irvin also deserves appreciation for the way she announced Cody as the winner. Well, she was also crying.

Never did I think I was gonna cry watching Mania 40 but I did. This was a journey that you had to be there for the past 15 years to really enjoy.

I stopped watching WWE back in mid 2021 and Cody's return was what made me come back to watching WWE back... Seeing his journey was truly inspiring and heartwarming...

Cody vs Roman 2 is one of the best matches of all time. It was an overbooked mess but that lead it being such an insane moment making machine. Now personally, I can't call it the greatest match ever, I don't think the greatest match has interferences, however, for a historical spectacle, it's one of the best.

Don’t forget bro Seth was literally Iron Man, he sacrificed himself and in the end even had tears, when they showed the cameras on Seth, I felt something in my heart, like you said after John Cena you felt like this was your guy, for me after Randy Orton I felt like Seth Rollins is my guy, The NEW MR.WRESTLEMANIA

Night 2’s main event was pure cinema all the damn way. From the cameos, the emotional value, the stress, the tension, this was everything we love in professional wrestling. Missed it live but watching people explode at the Undertaker bell made me feel such huge goosebumps! Honestly, they managed to give a feeling of Endgame somehow

This was the first Wrestlemania I ever attended and can honestly say this was the one of greatest nights of my life. I’ve only been to 2 wwe live events prior which were survivor series 2009 and a raw in 2011. I tuned out of wwe around 2015 and only watched the following 2 manias but I didnt really start tuning back in till wm39. Once I saw 40 was close to my hometown I knew I had to go. I am now 23 and this whole event made me feel like a kid again. I haven’t been this interested in wwe in years and the whole build leading to this event truly revived my love for wrestling. I am beyond thankful that I got to witness this live and I’m now watching wwe again like I was when I was a kid!

Been waiting for this for days now

Each Wrestlemania decade marks the end of one era and the start of another. X, XX, XXX and now XL. Each one ended on one of the absolute best feel good moments of heroes triumphing over adversity. Bret becoming the WWE champ and company man. Benoit and Guerrero holding their world titles up together. Daniel Bryan making Yeslemania happen and finally, Cody Rhodes, ending the greatest title reign of the modern era and finishing the story.

I was watching this match thinking “wow, I’m witnessing history right now.” This Wrestlemania weekend as a whole will be talked about for years to come. Truly, THE BEST Wrestlemania ever. The storytelling from this match was incredible and really set the bar high for this new era in WWE. I’m all for the ride we’re really about to be taken on!

I was there both nights. Night 1 was just too cold. But night 2 was one of the best crowds I’ve ever been apart of. Won’t forget my first love wrestling show

EVERY wrestling fan has said this WM40 was amazing. I go to events in my town just because I love wrestling but haven't followed the story. A small city got Roman Reigns AND John Cena after COVID. AMAZING HHH era just started and I feel like I'm about to start watching again.

Honestly Cody-Roman 2 is my favorite match of all-time. It may not be the best in-ring, but the story, the entrances, the fight feel, the star power involved and the finish, even Samantha's voice at the end, Definitely the craziest emotional roller coaster I've ever had watching wrestling.

I was a big WWE fan between 07-14 but then slowly started losing interest, but boy watching this Wrestlemania made me feel like I was 12 years old watching Taker vs Shawn at Wrestlemania again. It was truly magical.

I just recently got back into wrestling after a very long hiatus. I watched at the height of the Monday Night wars as a kid. My brother and I started on WCW. I will never forget the first night we found WWF. Nitro was drawing to a close and in a moment of impatience Bro began to channel surf. I left the room frustrated , but shortly after he shouted for me to come back. I dashed back in to see Kane and who knows who else in a cage match. We were so delighted to have even more wrestling to tune into. I remember having to make that grueling decision of which to tune in to on Monday nights, or sometimes feverishly switching the channel back and forth to try to do the impossible and catch it all. I remember tuning in to Thursday night Thunder and Sunday Night Heat. I remember when Smackdown was new. I remember the Attitude Era. I remember watching Jeff Hardy get screwed out of the title for what felt like 20th time against Triple H after wanting him to have it so bad, and after one particular match on a weekly show I said "That's it. I'm done." I didn't pay wrestling much of any mind for about 15 years after that. My Brother kept up and would try talk about the newest factions, show me the newest games and his creations and achievements and just in general try to get me back into it, but I'd really had enough. It was such a big part of our childhoods and I always sort of held this guilt like I was leaving him behind to his lonesome or something, but I was checked out. No turning Back. About a month or so ago, I was recommended a KZfaq video about WWF No Mercy. We loved that game as kids and teens and I have many fond memories of our time with it, so I gave it a watch. Of course KZfaq did KZfaq things and became convinced that I loved Professional Wrestling and recommended 100 other videos related to it on my home feed. Generally, I'm highly annoyed by this when it happens like everyone else but something was different here. I was recommended older matches and content that I was watching as a kid. I was blasted with a nostalgia bomb, and I found I could not stop watching these videos. One after another I watched until it was the ONLY thing that was in my home feed. I had a lot of catching up to do. This was the first time I'd ever watched a WrestleMania live with friends. After learning of Cody's story and everything that led to this match and then watching it all unfold on PPV, all of us shouting and on the edge of our seats... I felt like that kid again - The one watching the Monday Night wars that wanted so badly to grow up to be a Professional Wrestler one day. I fucking cried when Cody won. The whole thing was absolutely magical and it legitimately brought me to tears. WrestleMania 40 was indeed the greatest of all time for me because through it, I fell back in love with Professional Wrestling. Thank you for this video. You have earned my subscription and loyal viewership. But I also cried through this whole damn video because it's so well done and I'm wiping my tears and upset about it so Fuck you. Well done.

This was my first Mania , I was there both nights and I can confidently say, this was the greatest Mania ever , Night 2 was 100% perfect

Roman having the steel chair and choosing weather to hit Rhodes or Rollins was my favorite part. He chose REVENGE and was still holding that grudge over that betrayal from 10 years ago. It was poetic, symbolic and so beautifully written that it literally made a grown man cry, and am not ashamed of it! :D

this Wrestlemania will come to mean alot to fans like me who where introduced to the WWE thru the last of the Ruthless Aggression and PG Era. We lived through the hard times i tell ya. The years were the product was uncool and downright difficult to watch, but we tuned in out of respect for the good times, and though there where bright spots i had thought the best days were before my time and buried. This Wrestlemania (and the whole product and way the talent speak more open and comfortably since Vince left) has restored my excitement and love for wrestling, i couldn't have ever imagined that one day myself as a grown adult and my girlfriend would be cheering and yelling at the television. Like Michael Cole said "damn it, i love professional wrestling"
