I was a bad tree in a bad garden that has been transplanted into a good garden by living waters, I must now let the good fertiliser transform me into a good tree. But how do we live out these things while in near-constant suffering? I have been going through hell for the past 11 months - My two-year-old daughter was horribly sick, I lost a job, had to move my family across the country I am living in with no idea where we were going to live... had to fight for my new job - then I got sick (maybe from all the stress) and had a new symptom or two every few months for along time. I am still suffering from several physical problems every day - many months later - lower back and neck pain - constant - muscle twitching - also constant and if I listed all the other problems that have come and gone, it would take a long time. Doctors haven't been able to help me. I have been crying out to God, repenting, seeking, praying - But I can't find lasting peace and freedom from physical pain. This has been the darkest part of my life, much worse than the death of my parents or any other suffering I have been through, and during this time, I stumbled onto Dan Mohler's teaching. I wish I had heard him before I got sick... it would have been much easier to try to practice these things. I am trying to seek God now, trying to live subject to his will, but I would be lying if I didn't admit that I am broken and sad - because God hasn't healed me or restored me to a close relationship with himself. It is heart breaking to feel that God doesn't hear, for whatever reason and not know what to do about it. I want to change - I want to live in faith - but how?
