I don't know why I look at coffee makers bc I'm too basic to do anything but french press. I do appreciate your review! I don't remember if I've heard you say it but do either of you drink cold coffee drinks?

We have had some cold bottled things like Starbucks Frappucino but it's very rare. We are probably going to start reviewing some pre-packaged things like that though.

I've had 2 of these. The lid eventually leaks along side the pour spout. Right out from where to 2 pieces are put together. It makes a mess while pouring. Other than that, it is a good coffee maker. There is another B&D thermal carafe coffee maker with a 1 piece top.

I try to run clean water through it every once in a while and so far no leaking.

@@DrewD748 It looks just like the one in the picture. They have a newer model with a different top to the carafe. I'm thinkin they stopped the leaking problem with the newer model. BTW, I'm still using the leaky lid one. I still like it. I just have to pour at a bit of an angle, so the leaking out part still goes into the cup.

How long does it take to brew a full pot and does the coffee taste good compared to an OXO?

I can't compare it to an OXO. It takes a full pot about 10 minutes I guess.

How long after does it auto shut off? Does the power button stay on?

The light turns off after 2 hours, but the power is on only illuminating the light. There is no hot plate or anything. I think it is only on as a reminder that you brewed coffee since you can't see through the steel.
