Theo Von, Brendan Schaub, Whitney Cummings, Jim Cornette, were all allegedly defrauded by Kast Media and Colin Thomson. How did this happen and how can we prevent it in the future? Here's my investigation.

This video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. Scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it the "opportunity of a lifetime."

🚨I’ve seen people concerned for me over the “I make 4 figures in the $10,000,000 studio” comment and to be CLEAR that was a joke! I was just surprised by how much podcasts make and wrote that in as a throwaway line. I think most ppl know how absurd the idea is that I could have 2 employees, and a $10,000,000 studio if the channel actually made a few thousand bucks a year, however I wanted to clarify so no one worries about me.🥺 If I ever need money I’ll just sell the flying lambo. We’re good. 🫡

the guy never intended to run a long-term podcast network; he was trying to hold it together long enough to get acquired, get a big payday, and walk away. That's the giant scam; a lot of start-ups never intend to stay in business; they hold it together long enough to go public via an IPO, get the massive payday, and then watch the company burn to the ground or be bought out by a more prominent firm

I'm fine with new school companies having a shorter lifespan. Usually they bring in a new idea or invention and by the time it can be copied or improved upon they aren't as relevant. then theres no real reason not to take the check and start on something new. Scaling and maintaining quarterly numbers as a super corp is much different then bringing an idea to fruition as a startup. Let the super funds take over the company and get back to the drawing board as an entrepreneur

Complimenting the person in front of them is in the scammer's DNA. Scammer's are people pleasers with their words, but traitors with their actions. I used to work with a boss who had that personality. He would say what ever he thought the person in front of them wanted to hear if he was trying to sell them something. And he would do the same exact thing if he was trying to cover up a lie. A truly toxic boss, scammers operate the same way. Empty promises and selfish action.

ANYBODY looking at this kind of a deal needs to have an attorney that specializes in Intellectual Property, and contract law. If they don't, they're an idiot. You can ALWAYS have your attorney look over a contract. If the person offering the contact says things like "It's just the standard contract" or "It's just boilerplate" that's a serious red flag. ALL IP contracts should be looked over by an attorney the talent hires before signing. If the media company is unhappy about that, it's likely time to walk away.

Are you talking about all levels? Like poor money management from the podcast hosts through management and their deals? or are you referring to someone specific fucking up? Either way greed is probably the biggest problem with modern society, if I had to guess...

Love how he immediately comes out the door with the whole narcissistic playbook lmao, first complimenting you to get on your good side, then side-stepping the question entirely by talking about some great vision and painting himself as the good guy, then being offended and playing the victim when you interrupt him, only to finally end up at denial, OF COURSE.
