Better off making Vickers mg than a section. Getman troops close in, either you dir or run anyway, at least with the MG you get suppression, then kill with Engineers.

Was probably worried about the AT gun getting recrewed and getting a shot off.

Increases penetration and moving accuracy by 20% and detects vehicles within 60 range in the FoW for 25 seconds. But I can't verify if that's accurate.

Auto hotkeys. You can rebind keys to keyboard. Spacebar is most commonly used for that. Or simply bind it to your mouse button

@@JMTTM CoH2, for whatever reason, doesn't let you rebind keys. You have to use an outside program, the popular one being AutoHotkeys. That will let you bind functions to any key or mouse button you want. Then you can put the tac map somewhere more helpful. You may want to use Grid Keys too. It puts all the unit abilities on the same 4x3 grid set of keys. It's generally easier for most people to use than classic, where abilities are all over the keyboard.

My guess is he wants the munitions for comet, gammon bombs, and artillery. In this strat the infantry section is not a strong combat unit because it skips bolster. So it is really just used for capping and calling in artillery. So munitions better spent on other things.

Nah 5 man section brens are good it is just not his playstyle. They have the best anti infantry damage of all the typical frontline units they just lack snares so they have a huge flaw.

I generally wouldn't bother against ostheer unless they are doing a strategy with no snares.

hard to get values out of a WASP in 1v1 unless you are playing against a level 3 opponent

If you can flame them, they can faust you. So you only get a big advantage with flame if there are a lot of buildings you want to keep the enemy out of.

@@oosyrag Oh, I thought that wasp outranges faust, even it it's just a bit. And wasp has better damage on the move I believe so I was wondering if the highers risk and more micro demand might be worth the payoff.

@@lGuzikl Maybe it does (I thought they were the same), but you just gotta get that much closer anyway. Just saying the big advantage from wasp comes from bonus damage to garrisons, so if you're not going to be taking advantage of that why go wasp? Either way the difference is marginal and they're both viable so whatever floats your boat. The bigger consideration for me is that both the vickers and bren have focus fire. Killing one model at a time efficiently is big against expensive units like grens. It irks me to no end when a full squad of grens retreats at 25% health and gets to heal back to full for free basically.

have you used the mg and at gun of brits before? they're a fucking joke. But yeah their tanks are really good and have alot of utility

@@xslz2820 MG and AT gun of british is better in stats and in game use than USF counterpart. i Ever use MG and At of british.

@@ECFRG752685 the 6 pounder has better pen than the M1 but it has horseshit accuracy. And the vickers rarely suppresses with the first burst. Keep in mind the vickers burst is long as fuck and STILL doesn't suppress. It's the worst MG in the game. Granted, the faction would probably be way too broken if it had decent support weapons ontop of great infantry and tanks. How could you possibly argue that Vickers is better than 50. cal? 50 cal is arguably the best machine gun after Dshk. And the vet 1 ability of the M1 makes it the second best AT gun in my opinion (#1 being zis)

@@xslz2820 50cal have less arch of rang, the main function is MG is denie one terrain, than MG is less efective for this. i use Vickers and ever pin enemy infantry. AT have better range, better PEN, Better vet. U not need wast Amun to him do some damage on one axis tank. best MG of game is MG 42.

@@xslz2820 That's 3 billion percent wrong. Brit AT gun had the highest accuracy of all AT guns of the 5 factions for the first four or five years Brits were released because the reasoning was that they didn't have snares, and needed the bonus accuracy. The balance team nerfed 6 pounder to have the same accuracy stats as other AT guns after giving sappers anti-tank grenades 2+ years ago. Right now all 5 factions' AT guns have the same accuracy on paper, but raketen has the lowest real accuracy because it starts suffering long range and medium range penalties at shorter distances, and has the lowest gun profile + slowest projectile, resulting in a much higher chance of terrain collision and a lower chance of misses becoming scattered-hits. Vickers does suck because it has the worst suppression amongst all hmgs, that much I agree, but the nonsense about 6-pounder is insanely wrong.

hmm...from my experience brits are the strongest faction on paper...and the best faction on paper...and the most fun on paper...and then you play them and want to cry all game xD something is really fucky about them

they are not underpowered, they just have a very "odd" way to play it. I would say soviet is more powerful because they have literally everything by game design

It is simple really. If you need anti tank get the cromwell, if you need anti infantry & air get the centaur. Just about realising the conditions for that. Most players make infantry sections so already have the long range fighting covered. This build has no long range after the UC dies without the brenmandos.

2) Brens on commandos are the most cost-efficient upgrade in the game. For 45 munitions, a bren-mando does 12 dps while an Obersoldaten with lmg34 does 13.4dps. For 90 munitions you basically get 24 max range dps, which puts them almost even with the entire Obers squad with lmg upgraded, while still having super camo and 3 smgs. Their long range dps is also significantly higher than the double lmgs that paratroopers get for 120 munitions.
