In this video I will talk about the USA Airborne commander, it's abilities and units, and how much they cost. Furthermore I'll end with a quick section on how you'd apply this commander with a certain build order.

the pathfinders are great counters for Axis starting units (the Sturmpioneers and pioneers), as they can shoot the axis soldiers from afar while they can't shoot back as effectively. if the sturmpioneers try to rush into the pathfinders make sure you have a rifleman or RE squad blocking the way

Nice work! Personally, it's my favorite commander, straight from the first game. I mean, the ability to call in paratroopers allows you to be both defensively and offensively, using them in ahead of the enemy or to reinforce a defense. As such, able was my favorite to use in Ardennes Assult I just wish they hadn't nerfed down the Al so much in skirmish

Also the beacons are really useful, giving you vision and narrowing the drop, reinforce in the field They are damn good

Honestly though rangers are so good it's hard not to use that commander haha I mean, using the All Units mod makes it no problem, you have access to both, AND let's you fucking toggle ranger zookas like in single player which is criminal that it's not in vanilla I love that mod, allows for a shit ton of variety in matches with any possible unit to face or deploy, but can definitely a bit chaotic especially with higher popcap

Nothing about crewing support weapons with Pathfinders? The bonus vision range is REALLY good with MGs and AT Guns. Like the Paras though, its expensive to reinforce.

to use Airborne with Thompson theyre killing machines u only use them if the opponent force to retreat then you will use that ability as well or use it when your opponent is busy with other front use that to your advantage when your airborne assault team are behind enemy lines or at the enemy infantry flanks

@13:20 I think the planes would shoot enemy vehicles thru fog of war if the vehicles (222, Pz IV, Panther...) shoot at the planes with their MGs and reveal them selfs.

Yes. In the video of another person I have seen that MG help to reveal and kill it.

It will be good, but there are too many commanders. I think that it's better to tell about doctrinal abilities (for example: g43/MG advantages/disadvantages for Wehrmacht) For example: camouflage+mark the target. Which combinations are better and which lists of abilities (commanders) are the best.

I hope you will tell some more advance fact for new players for example Airborne Unit can run and gun with 30cal. And i hope you will show how call-in unit perform on each veteran level.

I didn't understand about run and gun. About vet bonuses of ALL units +++ (thanks to previous videos of Hans (He commented tournament match) I know about cool vision bonus of 3 vet Stuart). Also I want to know about 0 vet bonuses of ALL units (because it's difficult to watch this).

@@user-cl4kc4st7z Some elite unit like ranger,airborne,ober can shoot 30cal,mg42,mg34 while core unit like rifleman,volk,penal have to stop moving when pick up those lmg to shoot.

@@HelpingHans They set it up earlier then when the planes "start" the strafing run, which leads to them hitting something that already long left the circle sometimes.

Reece Williams the jackson “nerf” does nothing in terms of heavy engagement, you as a jackson outrange all heavies, its all about baiting it into an at gun with a riflemen snare

How do you delete the beacon? I tried everything. Was playing a mission and wanted to push them closer to my troops up the map and then I found out you can only build 3 and can not destroy them :)

RM Zook: Pen 130, damage 80 Ranger Zook: Pen 160, damage 120

Problem with airborne company is that you usually want 2 RE troops (for bazookas) and 3 riflement + 1 Lt + 1 cpt as US forces. Thats a LOT of infantry - even without your pathfinders and your paratroopers. So you end up not using paratroopers, or using paratroopers and pathfinders but lose out on the advantages you get with using riflemen.

TheAlb100 As long as you have atleast 2 rifles you should be fine. It’s the snares that are most important.

how do paras measure up against rangers? Combat effectiveness, durability, damage etc?

Paras for the most part are just better than Rangers. They have the highest DPS of any infantry in the game with Thompsons, have the option to have the highest midrange damage of any infantry with 1919s, have the added Timed Charge and Assault abilities, have a 6th man, and can be deployed anywhere. The primary selling points of Rangers is that they have lower received accuracy and therefor bleed less, and that they can take a 3rd support weapon. The 3rd heavy weapon will give them a noticeable boost in firepower, (especially Bazookas) and over the course of the game the difference in manpower bleed will begin to add up.

Rangers only do well at close range, but Paras can take M1919 for mid-range combat. Both have nades don’t need upgrade. Paras have 6 person in a squad. Paras have P47, and rangers have Pershing.
