Yeah, Shin is death and four, they have the same pronunciation more or less

Yeah. Depending on the reading, the kanji for four “四” can be read the same way as death “死”. Fun fact :this superstition together with the belief that number 13 is unlucky cause my apartment building to not have floor 4, 13, and 14. Though in my apartment’s case, the superstition comes from the Chinese community.

@@14112ido yeah a lot of apartment buildings and hotels skip the 13th floor but I always found it funny because the 14th floor is technically the 13th floor. But I guess it's just for the symbolism.

four in Japanese is pronounced as "Shi" while death is also "shi" with a different pitch

Pitch doesn't change the meaning of a word in Japanese. You're thinking of the Chinese languages.

I had no hype or expectations for this game and just wanted to take a look at it, but the beginning was so badly written and voiced it really put me off

@@t0zu It comes off much better if you play with the Japanese voices. I switched to English in the beginning, because it's hard for me to focus on subtitles in 1st person games, but it sounded so amateurish that I switched back pretty quickly.

@@darko1295 I had no idea you could even play in English until I watched a video for something I was looking for, and I had to do a double-take because 1) "I can understand them?" and 2) "yikes, they sound weird." Makes sense it would be in the settings, I just never looked. Game definitely works better in Japanese.
