I’m so glad you decided to keep the coins Tucker. I’m 63 and I have been collecting since I was 6 yo I am leaving to my son, grandson and granddaughter. You would be surprised how much the value of the silver is worth. You’re right coin shops and even some private collectors will rip you off. There is sentimental value as well as coin value. Finn will be a lucky little girl. Who knows maybe she will get into collecting like you and I’m so glad I was able to get my son started and he got his kids started. That picture is of the Dionne quintuplets. They were born in northern Ontario and taken from the family by the doctor. Since it was rare for quintuplets to survive back in the 40s or 50s they built a house for them and the doctor and one side was glass and people paid money to walk by and gawk. Pretty sad case.

I cannot see where anyone, except a relative, would even think of buying a picture of children who are not their own. Most resellers would look up value, if any,, before offering items for sale. There are so many people that buy items of potential value that you should view to up your game. I thought you going to the once monthly auction where you bought before is ideal because you get to view open boxes, discard what you do not want and as a added bonus you are free to look into other boxes and take anything left behind. This is the best storage unit! Glad u bought it! I loved the blk coat w embroidery. Have loved coins since I was 6y/o. Lady liberty dimes. Walking liberty halves. Buffalo nickels. I dian pennies. Coins are so interesting! Was hoping you'd y find a Picasso or a marc Chagall .Chagall's work is crazy weird, but captures your imagination, The " five twins" are the Dion quintuplets. $150 mermaid mirror... Pocket change for some Great in one of those $10000000 beach homes. Never forget some people have money to spend! Loved the haul. Mr Ed cool too Bet your mom would be a good sorter / trash out kinda helper Make fast work of it and she adores you! Too much close quarters contact could be counteracted if she stayed at unit sorting while you run to dump or goodwill. Have your dad there to protect.

Saving that silver is a good call!! We found tons of old silver when our "pop" died and just put it away for a rainy day. Too bad so much of that stuff was broken, but gotta say I chuckled when I saw the Lord of the Rings books; my LoTRs looks very similar since I have read them a gazillion times since the 70s; not worth anything but invaluable too me!!!! Junk silver coins are selling for around 20 times face value right now so if you've got $100 face value that's around $2000. Some of those Barber coins look like they are in pretty good shape. I've been told if you can clearly read the date on a Barber silver coin it has more value than just the silver content.

The lustreware china and dragonware are very collectable. Silver is worth more than the monetary value. The one painted plate you showed looked like a Goebel from Germany. Some pieces are worth alot.

Be kind. We all keep weird things for weird reasons - often sentimental. I have become one of those people who had become "the saver of the stuff, the person that people give things to when someone in my family or close friends gives things to when a beloved family member died & they can't bear to trash or donate or keep, but want the memory preserved. It is difficult to give away or throw things that had personal significance to a soul that has passed on. Hard to know sometimes what the meaning behind objects truly is. Be kind.

Those tiny tea sets are sometimes Victorian, and we're made so kids could play and learn table manners. They still make them now (in China) but the old ones are worth $$$. Doll collectors use them in displays too!

Put each of the coins in one of those 2by2 card board protective sleeves to prevent further wear and damage. There is a red coin book that comes out every year and you can look up the date and the mint mark for value. You would have to know where to look on each coin for the mint mark , you can also look up online.

Assuming those are all common dates, you have anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 in value in those coins. I wouldn't sell them personally. Those coins will only become more valuable over time. I would probably put them in coin tubes and sock them away for sale during retirement.

Love your videos. I buy junk silver all the time. Most silver dollar are just called junk 90% silver. Silver by the ounce today is worth about $22-$23. & all silver dollars made before 1965 are silver. All old half dollars & quarters & dimes before 1965 are 90% silver. Nickels only between 1942-1945 are silver. But still, awesome find!!

You might 15 to 20 dollars if you are lucky for the large round glass. That large piece of glass, as I see it, could only be used to cover a dining room table to keep the wood safe from scratches or heat. Donations are great as there are people looking to purchase pieces that are missing from a collection, or just a soft stuffed animal for the kiddos. Happy you found all those coins which increase in value. Based against the odds of what you think you see and reality is 50/50 I would have to think first if you can afford to waste your money simply on a whim.

Check every envelope, pocket and every thing before you trash it, people tend to stash money etc. in weird places

Based on today’s junk silver value, the Franklin, Barber and Walker half dollars, the Barber and Liberty quarters and the Merc dimes have a value of about $1,400. You’d have to go through and look for valuable years or known errors for possible greater value. Kennedy half’s are 90% silver until 64. 65 through 69 are 40%. 70s are valuable as well. Great score on that
