im probably one of your younger subscribers (14), but i asked my grandparents if they had any old coins, and they had over 75 coins from before the 40's! the best find for me was a 1926 2.5 dollar coin in almost mint condition in a necklace belonging to my great grandmother!

When I was a kid I had some pretty cool coins especially for my age group. I had some large cents, & flying eagle cents. They are gone from my collection. They only explanation is that they and some others were pilfered by my “friends”.

@Mr_man2169 1943 P is most common but if the coin is in good condition, you could look for 3 over 2 and a doubled eye (somewhat rare). Otherwise, any of the P,D,S mints will fetch under $1

Oh, I forgot, the 1943 D is the toughest of the war nickels to find, but unless it's in mint state, it'll still be worth up to $1

I’d say it’s worth closer to $2, it’s 35% silver and the silver melt value is $1.29

1953. 1956-D(3) 1959-D 1958-D 1954-D(2) 1957-D 1949-S 1941(4) 1941-S 1941-D 1942-D 1946-D 1946-S 1948-D 1949-D The war era nickels aren't the silver ones with the mint mark on the reverse. The reason I kept them apart from the dates is some of them look like silver war nickels so they could possibly be planchett errors. I don't know that 💯 but I know what the silver nickels look like and some of these resemble them nickels. If you're interested in any of these or all them let me know. If you're not then forget I brought it up.
