Yep. Its due to over-spending, crushing the economy with high taxes & by killing gas, oil, coal & nuclear energy. For example, when Trump cut taxes for every income level.. We brought in Billions more in tax revenue. When taxes are lower, it incentivizes new businesses, helps their growth, & leads to more spending & investment in our economy. And when energy/gas is cheap & plentiful. It dramatically cuts the cost of everything.. Cause businesses & industry are cheaper to operate.. and every single product cost less to transport. Not to mention everyone having more money to spend too.

The interest rate has increased eight times since March of last year, to 5% now. My retirement fund has suffered greatly over the past few years due to inflation at 7% and mortgage rates at over 7.5%, so I'm wondering how older people retire and survive in such an unsteady economy. I completely agree. As someone who recently retired, I had very little in retirement funds compared to my portfolio balance over the previous three years, no debt, and approximately 1.2 million in outside retirement accounts. Actually, one can only neglect rather than deny the importance of the invt-advisor. just need to conduct research to identify a reliable one.

Commercial real estate is no longer a good investment. So, they’re diving deep into residential. I bought a home a few years before the pandemic and the timing couldn’t have been better. I just feel sorry for those that still need to purchase a home. High prices high interest.

Americans are lucky. In Toronto a small modest one floor 1950s bungalow is well Over a million dollars. Our mortgages only last 5 years and then get renewed. So, if property values drop, they will only base it on market value and you get the new high interest rate. So, the government just relies on wealthy immigration to come but your home from you. Nope, you won’t be able to buy a new home since 600sq ft condos are now $900k. You need a family income of $160k to qualify for a mortgage, and the govt allows banks to give 100% mortgages to large investors. Then they remove rent controls and those investors rack up the rents high enough to cover the expenses and mortgage. The govt also lets banks artificially cause the market to stay high even if giving risky loans to investors who bought pre-builds. We are sitting on a huge bubble. So, plan on moving hours away. No one visits family anymore because it’s a 2hr drive in 5 different directions to visit anyone. Old people age alone in expense markets. Our current govt destroyed the country. 1.5 million migrants plus international students in a year all Concentrated in a couple cities. Message to anyone earning under $75k: there is space in the arctic where a bottle of ketchup is $20

I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things, at the bare minimum: Exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, Exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, Exposure to market-leading tech.

I was previously ambivalent about BlackRock’s involvement in culture and politics. Not anymore. I now view BlackRock as an authoritarian threat, with Fink creating instability in the world to position himself as the savior and emperor of the world. His power is conferred by Blackrock’s investor, and can therefore be removed by them in an instant.

And now Larry Fink wants everyone to retire with little/no money like his parents, to ensure he doesnt retire poor like his parents. Admittedly, his parents retired with only ~$1-2 Million in the early 2000's while middle and lower class Americans at the time only retired with $250k-400k in retirement funds.

Sorry, but you don‘ t know too much about the german energy strategy. Germany has closed its last 3 nuclear power plants following an earlier plan to switch to regenerative energy. They were easily replaced through wind energy. But we are still in the process of this change. Germany is a classical industrial country in the digital age. That is troubled water.
