Sounds of the soil indeed! I could instantly relate to the rhythm and the melody used here, as many 'lokgeet' have a similar, earthy setting. Even though the lyrics are in a different language, this song took me back to the Gujarati folk I have grown up listening to. Loved Ataullah's voice and performance. The way he sings the central line of 'Ishq pawaaiyaan zanjeera' gave me goosebumps. Sanwal is good too especially at 2:50-2:55 where he sings with such mithaas. Needless to say, the lyrics rightly point out to the fickleness of this world. This is a song that I would definitely play over and over again as it's a constant reminder as to what's really important. And that too, a musical reminder! Sab maaya hain. Sab maaya hain. :)
