What is it about the Yoruba language that makes it so sweet to the ears??? Even when you dont understand the language, it just blends into any musical instrument. Nigerian music has got me in a chokehold❤

Yoruba Language is very tonal. When we talk, you will think we are singing. Yoruba speaks English in a Yoruba tone. Its very funny especially when the market women attempt it. With that in mind, now imagine it in a musical form. Even the way Asake started the song "isss lonely at the tooop" its like a typical yoruba saying english words. Rhythmic.
