I’m so pleased you are calling attention to this. I use both stretches of road constantly. Bearing in mind it’s brand new and cost £10 million minimum, the works are hopeless for cyclists. The one extra note I would add is climbing up the hill onto Harwich Road roundabout from Colchester is very dangerous because of course cyclists have to set off into a gap in the traffic on a fairly steep pitch of hill. You just can’t get up to speed in time. I don’t believe cyclists were consulted for an instant
