Installed an AFE cold air intake on the cummins today made a huge difference on the truck! Hope you guys enjoy more upgrades coming!

They sent me the wrong one too yesterday, can’t even get a hold of customer service. I have the 06 5.9 Cummins but I went with the dry filter

Why did you decide to go with the open filter vs. the filter in a box such as the S&B? Did you fule mileage increase increase? Thx, look good.

The open nature of the filter negates any "cold" benefit.

The extra ports where for if you add other things to it, everything was hooked up

I'm just a little confused but how is this considered a cold air intake when it's pulling in hot air underneath your hood right off of your exhaust manifold..... unlike the stock unit where it gets its air from outside of the fender well?.... there's no doubt this is higher flowing I just don't understand how it's considered a cold air intake

The air goes through your intercooler and gets cool down before it goes into the engine

The wrong what? Haha! Man this trucks turning into a monster! & that intake lets that turbo scream for real! I like how you did that hood pop, opened the hood, & fired it up. That was pretty sick editing. Great video bud. Are you going to do an aftermarket intercooler?

MrDmagic88 when you hit higher HP you don't want manual just to slow when shifting and loads of other reasons

MrDmagic88 bro, I love my auto honestly. Yes manual is stronger, everyone knows it. However, mine has held up well. Usually if you change the fluids and don’t treat it like a street car, they hold up great.

Don't have this truck anymore, but there was a few things done to it. exhaust, cold air intake, bunch of lights, didnt have it long enough to dig into the motor mods really

Did you have any turbo bark? Just put a K&N on my 5.9 03 and I’m getting some after quick excel or quick throttle... Is that to be expected? Anyone know?

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e7BdYLVqz9udpo0.html Here is a decent video to get the idea of how to do it, pretty simple gonna have to use some sort of pliers to get the bulbs out but you can make them any color you want! Remember that the bulbs have to go a curtain way or they wont turn on youll have to flip them around!

Cool; but pointless. With a stock turbo you’re getting nothing more than noise change period. If you want ‘better sound’ you should straight pipe w/ 4”-5” and you’ll actually gain horsepower but it’ll be minimal; again with a stock turbo. An engine is EXACTLY like a human body. Has to breathe; circulate good etc. I deleted EVERYTHING that prevented that and straight piped. My next goal is a FASS fuel pump; aftermarket CP- pump; and 200 over fuel injectors. That’ll put me around 750-800 ponies. Than if I can ever afford a really nice turbo I will have to look into a highly upgraded transmission 😫

@@LimitlessMoto Yea that helps! That intake and straight pipe exhaust will definitely compliment a turbo. That’s the real last good step to a nicely breathing engine!
