I've just done this exact job on my 2007 Panda. Thank you so, so, so much. Honestly it was like you did the job for me! An absolute idiot proof guide.

Great to hear and I’m so glad it went well! Is it now running at normal operating temperature?

Thanks for this. My heart sank when I saw your thermostat looking different to the one I'd ordered, but then relief - sorry 😆 I was lazy and just pulled the airbox intake pipe rather than remove the battery box. More fiddly and extra mirror work, but easily done for those in a rush like me. Thanks again 👍

I’m glad it was helpful! I’m cursed with hands like shovels so I’m always sure to create as much space as possible with most jobs I do.

@@autoknight747 tbh I was cursing my impatience when forcing hands and wrists around the battery and ECU.

Hi, just want to say your videos are really good, i have been following the smart car series totally fascinated as I am thinking of getting one in the near future. Shame you havent got a Peugeot RCZ petrol in your fleet too, that would have given you loads of material ! (Obviously i speak from experience 🙄). Keep up the good work.

Thank you! The RCZ is a great looking thing but my experiences with French cars have never been good 🤣

Great instructions, thanks! Do you remember the exact size of the hose clamp on the thermostat hose? I have to change a leaky radiator and wanted to use the opportunity to put in a new thermostat as well.
@autoknight7474 ай бұрын
I cannot recall the size. I keep multiple jubilee clips in stock so I would have just selected the most appropriate one.

my 1.1 has always ran a bit cool when the weather is getting on the cold side, for the moment some pipe insulation on the grille has done the trick 😂should have done it when i replaced the slave cylinder a few weeks back side note on the slave cylinders, you can fit a cast body cylinder from a punto 1.2 (i used a TRW PJF173) instead of the standard plastic LuK one, much easier to bleed and feels of much better quality
