557 rear gear
And of course the day I decide to record this pig the Fuel Filter light wants to come on. that's why I stopped shut it off. let it think about what it wants to do.
it's straight piped from the Turbo back
runs pretty good but it was cold today

Great video! I really LOVE the acceleration at 1:52 so much. Got to love how a DT466 sounds (even with the "E" at the end) Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. :)

Sounds nice! From what I’ve heard a lot, these newer engines aren’t very renowned for their reliability due to factory emissions components (the EGR in this case). However, I also hear that BulletProofDiesel makes some robust replacements for them which should help a lot, so maybe that is not too much of a worry. (Yes, I’m aware of the other options - I just prefer the legal route.)

The dt466e is still a hell of a lot more reliable than many new diesels including the new Cummins engines which have egr in addition to an SCR and def system which has a ton of weak components that aren’t reliable at all.

I could write a book.... lol just kidding the most I've done is preventative maintenance.. Brakes and other misc items

@@daytonelrod559 good. People always dog on these navistar engines even though all of the problems with the in-line 6 is emissions related.

that sounds like a Maxx force engine doesn't really sound like a dt466e engine

MaxxForce engines weren't sold until 2007 or 2008, this bus is an 05.

They’re basically the same thing but the Maxxforce has emissions reduction equipment.

The DT466 and the DT466E are the older sisters of the Maxxforce DT, only the Maxxforce DT has more emmisions and is newer.

Basically some guys would just call this a max force dt466
