Cold Steel AD-10 or Benchmade Adamas? It’s Tri-Ad Lock versus the Axis Lock as we pit these two heavy-duty bruisers against each other. You can get an Adamas here: bit.ly/3gAKR3S and an AD-10 here: bit.ly/31TddSZ

I have never owned a Benchmade knife, although plenty of my friends have them. They seem to be decent knives, but I think they are over priced when compared with other comparable knives. I have a huge collection of Cold Steel knives, and the AD10 will be arriving shortly. Thanks for another unbiased, and fact filled review sir ~ All the best ~

Sam Derick not even close. I own both and the AD10 looks and feels like it should be much more expensive than it is. The build quality is the best you could hope for. Also is the much stronger knife for sure. Not to mention the S35VN steel is far and away better than Benchmades D2, although the D2 isn’t a bad steel. For my money I would go AD10 every time and it isn’t a hard choice.

@@papasauce234 Do u realise axis lock strength doesn't depend on omega spring? Omega spring role is to push axis bar towards the blade tang - only! Axis lock str depends on axis bar (less) and liners str (more cause it's much easier to damage them than axis bar). One time i spine whacked my adamas with my full force (and im an athlete and very strong boy) - i left around 1 cm ditch in my desk table and my knife was laugthing asking me if it's all i got. I could destroy any liner lock or frame lock with that. But i won't do dat again to my knife, cause there's no reason. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gr2qkq19vc2tfGQ.html Also there are a lot of others yt videos proving my point. And u could ask any knifemaker which locking system is stronger. ;]

The Adamas has that gas-station kind of look to me. That finish on the G-10 makes it look more like FRN. Also the serrated part of the edge is a big negative in my view. Why is it there? Seems unnecessary. The AD-10 just looks better, and looks like it would feel better in the hand. The blade on the AD-10 seems superior for hard use as well. Additionally, I am biased toward S35VN over D2 just about every time. Also, for what it's worth, Demko is a good guy too...

The main issue with any Benchmade and "tankiness" is the Omega springs. There is always the chance of those snapping from shock or from stress over time. I have a Mini in Magnacut and I love it, but it's very hard to "trust it for life" considering the main locking mechanism is reliant on what are essentially, paperclips.

Absolutely choosing American benchmade every chance I get

@Sam Derick if you understood how the locks worked you would choose the AD-10!!! The triad lock is quite a bit stronger than the axis lock!! Although I do love me some benchmades, you ain't gonna suspend hundreds of pounds like you would be able to with the triad lock. Also the triad lock is self adjusting so it doesn't get sloppy after abuse!!!
@MaFiaMediaHD
@MaFiaMediaHD 4 жыл бұрын
Sam Derick you are mistaken, it’s a production version of the Demko AD10 which is about $1350. You should watch his video talking about it. It’s anything but cheaply made. It literally has better materials than the benchmade, all the way around. Don’t get me wrong I love my benchmades, and normally prefer US made products, but there is no comparison in the quality you get for them money when it comes to the AD10 vs the Adamas. AD10 without a doubt. And for what it’s worth, Benchmade has actually had quite a bit of quality control issues in the past. I’ve had some issues myself but it mostly seems they have made improvements and have much better quality control now.
