The American Bladesmith Society’s guidelines for Master Smith and Journeyman Smith applicants require that (s)he cut through hanging manila or sisal rope, a minimum of one (1) inch in diameter. The applicant must sever the rope in two with one stroke to test the blade’s edge geometry and sharpness.

Lynn actually cheated on the manila rope test! if you play it back frame by frame and look very closely, you can clearly see it was his shout that cut the rope.

I use a 6" Ti-Lite as my edc. If I ever need to cut my seatbelt, break a window to escape a vehicle incident or extricate someone from an accident or heaven forbid I need to defend myself I know my Ti-Lite is there ....

My friends always ask "Why do you carry such a big knife?" I respond How much is your life worth? I can't afford to have a CCW, so I carry the next best thing....

lol I own the knife in the video, and in CA you have to jump through so many hoops and proove why you need a CCW. BTW a CCW in California is like $300, my Cold Steel Ti-lite was on sale on Amazon for $45, bought it in 2011....

My fingers thank you for making the liner lock style used in the 4” and 6”. My drawer with 6.6 lbs of Cold Steel knives begs me to stop. I shut it up by deploying a second drawer. In terms of humane self defense, my conscience thanks you for the narrowness of the blade which can be used artfully, like a fencer, to “pink” an attacker without opening up a wide channel.

Great knife and an amazing defensive tool I carry every day, just opening it alone and seeing the huge blade should be a deterrent unto itself for all but the most determined crackheads/would-be robbers, but if not I trust my life to it, I don't ever go looking for trouble in life, I'm actually quite peaceful, but I refuse to be a victim to belligerent trash scum of the earth humans that seem to multiply yearly in my once nice town.

WhiteSnake9191 Yeah, the ti lite six is the best self defense folder I’ve ever had. The CPM-S35VN bead blasted steel ti lite is very nice and I prefer it to my AUS-8A version as it keeps its edge.

I have one of these, and it is a fabulous knife that has a wonderful reassuring feel in the hand. A good weight and balance to it, but it's a cold steel product, so what would you expect from in my opinion the best knife company there is! I have several cold steel knives, including the Espada large and recently the incredible 4MAX. They're just awesome!

Could i cut of the notch so it becomes two handed usably only? Otherwise not legal to carry here in germany. Fixed versions would be nice (up to 12 cm blade). I always wondered why you don`t produce the hideout knives anymore. A nice place to hide one would be inside an extra boot insole.

I love the Ti-Lite ! I own seven of them , one 6" aluminum handle , two 6" G-10 handle ,three 6" zy-ex handle and one 4" zy-ex handle . I'd love to see a 5" version . Thanks !

I like the G-10 the best but the Zy-ex handle isn't bad at all and it's about $100 cheaper than the G-10 model . The G-10 model feels lighter and has better blade steel and the black coated blade . If you're only carrying it for self defense and not using it for utility tasks the Zy-ex model with the cheaper steel isn't bad .

great knife i bought one - one of my favorite - the only thing i would change is to make the thumb stud hole a little bigger to make the knife easier to use - it would better deployed and easier to disengage the lock to close - otherwise the knife is perfect

I got the aluminum and the zytel model in aus 8. There is not a lot of knives that look meaner than a 6" folding stiletto.

OK, Listen up!! Cold Steel is Excellent in many ways. However, especially now, the area that they can NEVER brag about is this. Where in the Hell are all of your knives made!!!! Come on Lynn, take some of your riches and do the right thing Damn it!!!! Make knives in the USA!!!!

That's why I don't like people having mental problems.....😅😅😅. Don't do anything stupid in front of him. He is actually using his entire power to cut the rope, while shouting, because he was a good instructor. It is not about being deceived by the camera; if you want to see the proof, then you come to Ventura in California and look for it. You'll understand more.
