Cold War Kids is an American indie rock band from Long Beach, California. Band members are Nathan Willett (vocals, piano, guitar), Dann Gallucci, Matt Maust (bass guitar), and Matt Aveiro (drums, percussion). Matthew Schwartz ( keyboards, guitar, backing vocals) is also a touring member with the band.

To all the people saying that they are disappointed about the performance: I believe the instrumental parts came close to the record. The vocals though are very hard to sing live. They are pretty high and they need much "power" to sound good. Idk but I guess it wasn't the beginning but the end of the concert... so I guess there was just a bit power left. Under these circumstances I would consider this performance quite good. :-)

the guitarist plays a heavily simplified version, and boy does it suck 2:28 vocals are fine

Changing the 16th- notes into 8th- notes is heavily simplifying? I mean the tone sequence is just about right, for my ears. Maybe the guitar is a bit out of tune... To the vocals: Don't you hear that he can't reach the highest note (anymore)? Come on: 3:11. He is also not capable to hold the tone. Sorry but that's my view on it.

I'd listen to the record if I wanted it to sound like the studio version. That's not the point of a live performance. Go listen to Spotify if it isn't close enough to the record for you lol

+Raul serrano 'm pretty sure this is just a really bad a recording and performance. Because I've seen some bad recordings even of great songs like Creep -radiohead. And I think the audience they should sing really ruins it.
