@Dinesh, this does happens in extreme cold weather where the battery drains quickly or the device goes in a state of shock (actual phenomenon). Hats of to you, being myself from Himachal and a cold region, I would not dare to camp alone. There is always the possibility of getting stuck with no help and when it is this part of the year, the snow is bound to happen, that makes it even more risky. "You are a Champion".

im sure you guys already have good jackets but a tip from a pahadi. Quecha or decathlon jakcets are not good enough for such extreme weather and its extremely dangerous to wear light jackets In such weather. there are many thrifting shops which provide authentic Northface/columbia/Mammut//patagonia goosedown jackets with heavy down filling andwindstopping capabilities. they're rated for -40 degrees, I'm sure those will help you a lot.

I served in arunachal and Uttarakhand border with China and in ladakh with Pakistan in extreme low temperature -15 to -30 and beyond. I can understand his condition. Badi buri condition Hoti thi.

Watching it from foothills of shivalik hills in quilt could give me shivers.. wonder what u were enduring.. DC bhai i know u know what u are doing & have gears & clothing.. but since u r going in high cold Himalayas... You should get wild craft down jacket.. they are really good & along with some inner woolen layering.. baki i guess you also need high quality fit & wooden layering gloves..

I guess you shouldn't be removing that frozen mud near the wheel as temperature is too low and all that plastic or fibre gets more brittle and may break locks... All the best for the future! You are doing great
