I had anxiety problems since I was a kid. Everyone mocked me for being an introvert. Classmates, Teachers, and even my parents blame me. It was hard for me to make friends. I heard an Igbo language song at the beginning of this song. Coldplay I am happy you guys are bringing other languages into your songs to make them have a global feel. For those who don't know Igbo language is one of the three(3) major languages in Nigeria, and as an Igbo guy I am so proud that Coldplay has done this great thing. Love you COLDPLAY.

Oh man, you should listen to the whole "Everyday Life" album. Has so many traces of Nigeria in it. There is a song titled "Èkó" (The Yoruba word for "Lagos") which talks about a young man journeying to Lagos for a better life. Femi Kuti also played the Saxophone in the track "Arabesque", and the song features a quote from Fela Kuti. That album is packed with a lot of traces to Nigeria.

I have been bullied. A ton of times. Even till this state that my arm was broken twice within a span of 3 years and nobody even did anything about it. Not even my parents or teachers. When I first heard this song, I could relate to it so much that it became close to my heart. I'm writing this comment for anyone else who has been bullied and has endured mental and physical pain. Just close your eyes and go to your happy place. Listen to any song that reaches your heart. Just try to do what you love to. And take advantage of this lockdown to rebuild. :)

I can't believe I saw them playing Champion of the world live! I was in my first coldplay show yesterday in Rio. I've been a fan since 2008 and Champion of the World is one of my favorite songs, as I relate a lot with the lyrics. Coldplay saved my life when I was in a severe depression. I can say they changed my life and have a huge part in the human being I am today. I am so happy! I love this song!

For anybody saying how we started with this and ended up with Music of the Spheres. Everyday Life subtlety touched on the controversy of world probelms and insecurities everybody faces every day and especially the hardships of life brings. It was more of a message that needed to be said rather then staying silent on these certain topics. Music of the Spheres on the other hand was made for the concerts and their world tour. I attended one their concerts for MOTS North America tour and it made me love the album even more. Although both and all albums are equally amazing and yet unique because of the style that changes. Thats what i love about Coldplay they arent afraid to try new things and the love they send out.

My friend just told me this video, he said he love this mv. then I know, because the main character is him. He fights so hard for his life. he is a nerd and hard worker after study he went to work until 12 pm. he felt in love with this song. I wish we could come to your world tour next time. Altough i have enough friends around me at school, i dont feel like i really exist. Im not getting bullied or anything, i just feel lonely sometimes. Music is the only medicine i have and it helps me trough anything. Altough life can be hard sometimes, you just gotta keep your head up and think possitive!

I tend to mentioned it a lot on internet, but I can always relate to bullied characters. I was bullied since pre-primary school.to my first year at university. Still, I've never given up to my dreams and goals. Also, well, music has been like medicine to me, and Coldplay has been with me for almost 20 years now, and they always get to my soul. Thank you, for all you've done and given me. Also to everyone who has heard and loved at least one of your songs.

I’m guessing this song’s meaning is that as a child, he had a hard life. Being scolded by his teachers and parents, being bullied, not having many friends. It lasted like that all the way. I was bullied at school, and my parents were separated. It was hard growing up and not receiving much love, but I was always saying that "things will get better someday". I think I had some healthy defense mechanisms that allowed me to survive the hardships back then. Bullying is awful, it hurts and makes you mistrust people in general.

This song made me sob the first time I heard it. Not the first Coldplay song to have that effect. It is so sweet that these lyrics might touch so many of us that were (and are) awkward and outcasts in school or had a rough home life. Just know that youth is only part of your life, and you get to choose how your life goes when you become an adult. ❤ I love Coldplay for making us all connect through their music.
