I love this reaction! I'm sure others commented on this, but regarding the amazing drums - Will Champion had never played drums before joining the band. He agreed to sit in for someone who was supposed to be their drummer but flaked, learned the drums, and the rest is Coldplay history. It's impossible for me to imagine Coldplay's chemistry and success without his genius drums.

This song came out when my best friend was diagnosed with cancer and he succumbed. It means a lot. Thanks man. Also I think the delay is the video cause it’s in slo mo. Coldplay’s first 4 albums are classic. That’s pretty much the studio version until the end. But they are excellent live.

The first time I heard this song (in an episode of Scrubs) it hit me super hard. I took to the internet to find the full version of it, and it instantly became a favorite of mine. I don't think the final 90 seconds will never NOT get to me, it's so emotional and so powerful. Same thing goes for The Scientist. First time I saw the video for that one, it took my breath away because of how close to home it hit for me.

This song will forever put me in my feels, and usually makes me cry... but that's never stopped me from listening to it. I honestly couldn't tell you when the first time I heard it was, but he first time I actually listened to it was on So You Think You Can Dance... and it was a tribute to one of the dancers mother's who either had just passed or was sick and they knew she would pass before long. But it was a show my cousin Dani and I would watch together and we happened to be watching it at my very first apartment the first time she came to stay with me. (side note, she was my best friend in the entire world. It never mattered that we had a 6 year age gap. When she was born I was so mad because I thought she was my baby and I didn't understand why they wouldn't let me take my baby home with me. HAHA) But, as we're watching this beautiful dance, to this beautiful song I got teary eyed and I looked over at Dani who was the strongest person I had and will ever meet, fighting a terminal illness, but doing it with such grace, faith, and never letting it get the better of her for too long. But I looked at her and she was also teary eyed so I pulled her over to me and we both just cried watching it, and kept rewinding and watching for a good hour. From that day on, anytime we would hear it we would call or text each other. I've only heard it a couple of times since she passed in December of 2016, but when I have I know it's God's way of telling me I need a good cry. I miss her immensely, and that will never change until it's my turn to go home and I attack her with hugs. (I'm not sure if I've ever commented it on one of your videos so if I have and I'm being repetitive I apologize.) But, I've said this many times and it's still so true and makes you look at things differently. After my cousin passed my aunt and I, who are already extremely close spent even more time together leaning on each other through this loss in our lives. She lives across the street from me, so I would just walk over there everyday sometimes for an hour, sometimes all day. But one of our deep talks afterwards she looked at me and said that at various times over Dani's 23 years we'd all said that we wished we could take that pain on for her. Just let me carry that, and let her have a break from it... and she said well, when she passed thats exactly what happened. She was healthy, whole, and home... We were the ones down here hurting. So as much as I miss her, I wouldn't wish for her to be back down here because she's healthy for the first time in her life, and she's seeing her friends that passed from the same illness before her... shortly after she passed her grandma on her dad's side passed so she got to meet her at those pearly gates. Now, this last march our granny passed and she got to do the same for her. So I know that she's getting in all kinds of trouble with that motley crew. HAHA!
