Coldplay - Viva La Vida, but it's played by an orchestra

Күн бұрынThis morning I wanted to listen to a fully orchestral version of Coldplay's wonderful song Viva La Vida, but I could only find instrumental versions, so I made it myself. I also wanted to orchestrate a pop song for a very long time, so I knew that this would be the idea for the next video. Even added the gospel choir from their tiny desk concert, which I tried to sing myself.

Ive listened to this song a lot but never commented on it, so I will now. Coldplay is my favorite band, Viva La Vida is one of my favorite songs, and I love this remix. It feels so clean and real, too many remixes feel like they lose the spirit of the original (you always do a fantastic job of avoiding that, this is just your best one imo). Everything about this feels like its authentic. The only thing I guess that isnt authentic is that it comes across as a bit happy when the song is about a king being executed, but the song already had that sort of "if you dont listen to the words you could mistakenly think its happy" vibe going. It feels so grand, I love it so much.

Dang, now I’m sad. Those concert chimes and the bells really got me cause I played them in band last year, and I had a lot of amazing times with really good friends in that class. Now, most of those friends have graduated, and I had to give up band this year due to scheduling issues. Thanks for another great arrangement, Andreas!

For the most part I was really impressed with this But once 2:16 hit, my soul was *not* prepared. I genuinely couldn't stop smiling from there on out. Everything about this piece is just so wonderfully made but that part honestly got a gasp and a few tears from me. And that's a rare thing for music to do for me Thank you, truly ♡
