When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💕

See some people losing the ones they love, like their moms etc., this is the reason why I am super scared or growing up, because my parents are getting older and I’m scared of them passing away at the end. I’m also scared of dying alone, I love my family and very close friends so so so much, and everyone is so important to me, and I would to absolutely anything to protect them no matter what.

Spend time with them, I promise you will regret it if you don’t (don’t feel guilty for saying no, sometimes) . I know it can be boring or they can be annoying, but I didn’t spend as much time and held a grudge against him for past things and now I am 20 and his funeral is in a few weeks... you never know how much time someone has on this earth❤️

The first time I met my best friend she was singing this song, that was all the way back in kindergarten, she said she’d heard it on the radio. She died when I was 11. We played this song at her funereal, and it will forever be my favorite song. And I’m sure it is many others favorites. He must have no idea how many lives he impacted with this masterpiece.

I'll never forget the 8 hour drive I took with my brother as we headed from middle-Georgia to Florida to see my Grandfather one last time. We knew he wasn't long for this world and we were listening to songs and talking the whole trip, as we took his car since we attended the same college. At about 5 minutes out from my grandfathers house this song came on un-requested and totally random in the I-pod playlist and somehow it was perfect, all either my brother or I could do was stay silent as we drove those final moments looking at the road ahead of us staring out the windshield wondering what would happen next, listening to this song. Turns out he would pass on that same day after we all came to his bedside and uniformly declared we didn't want him to hurt anymore, it was spiritual. It was the first time I ever saw someone pass, it probably wont be my last but as long as I am alive I will remember that trip and this song. Thank you Coldplay.

my grandad used to hum this song 24/7, he died yesterday. i never really knew the name of this song, i noticed how the song said “for you i’d bleed myself dry,” he died of a blood clot, this was just in my recommendations a day after he passed. coincidence?

During my sophomore year in college, I asked a girl out from my physics class. On the set day, it rained cats and dogs. I asked if she still wanted to go, which she did. We went to this pizza place for our first date and when we got out the rain had stopped. We took a stroll through a quint little downtown area, while admiring the beauty of the neon lights reflecting from the wet streets. As we walked a little more, there was this street singer sitting on a bench, playing guitar and performing this song, Yellow. I felt the song and kissed her passionately. In 2006, I didn't even like Coldplay. However, this song became our song and the word Yellow just meant different to us.

my memory of this song may not be very sad, but it makes me very nostalgic. One of my elementary teachers had a very distinct music taste, she played Pompeii by Bastille, Riptide by Vance Joy, and Yellow by Coldplay the most. I remember sitting in a little corner of the classroom, reading and listening to this song as it played for the whole class.

I was 14, sitting with a book in a window, looking outside and listening to this masterpiece. We were in Italy and it was raining and all I could do was looking at the beatiful rain and cry, because I was deeply in love and didnt know what to do. My mom came and when she heard the song, she started crying too. She told me, that this was the song playing on the radio when I was born. We burried her with this song also.
