Fly fishin’ catfish. That’s a new one.

It's really great to see Cy again. I can't believe how big he is now!!! Kids grow up so doggone fast!!! And, yeah, he is ADORABLE!!! Speaking of "growing up so fast" I picked up my neighbors' 5 year old about 2 1/2 months ago. I made the mistake of using my back and not my legs. Needless to say, I threw out my back. I mean she's 5 and weighs a solid 80 lbs!!! I was getting better on my own, then one day Babygirl (she's my dog) asked me to help her onto my bed... she's getting too old to jump up like she used to. So I help her up (this was about 2 months ago) and my back has been KILLIN' me since!!! It got worse. So I have to schedule another series of appointments with my chiropractor. Is it just me or are there other men out there who honestly "forget" that, hey, "I'm getting older, too", and can't do what I could've/would've when I was a few years younger?

Good afternoon guys.

Hi ya Cole,Jay,and baby C! Hey y'all I saw a gold ring or earrings when Cypress was playing in the sand. The first time I saw it was at 10:50 in the vid and it was just below Cypress's left foot. Not sure y'all saw it but you may want to check it out! Fried fish is the bomb and you can't beat it! Cole I think that fried fish is a little healthier than you think. Let's break this down a little so you can look at it in a different light. You hit at least 4 of the 5 food groups just with that sandy alone! Let's start with the fish it's in the meat and protein group. You had wheat bread giving you a serving in the grain and nut group, plus you added flour to the fish breading now making it 2 servings. Then you added pickles to the sandwich and used corn meal for breading giving you 2 servings of vegetables and if you used Vegetable oil to fry your fish in, you now have 3 servings in the vegetables group lol. Then you added hot sauce, giving you another serving of veggies from whatever peppers were in the sauce. Plus it has a base of tomatoes getting you into the fruit group. Leaving only the dairy group empty, unless you made up some eggs wash as a binder for the breading, then you would have all 5 groups in your mouth at the same time! That's just from one sandwich just think of the healthy possibilities if you cooked a entire meal or added more toppings to the sandwich. If you cook up some French fries your going to need some Ketchup to dip em in. giving you another fruit and another vegetable lol. Just think of all the possibilities!!!!!

Looking forward to yall's up coming videos. they are always so much fun to watch. I haven't tried fly fishing as yet, but it is on my to do list...maybe next year. Well anyways thanks for sharing!

I am curious about those other fish that you caught- drum fish I think you called them. I notice that you threw those ones back, but kept the catfish. Was that what you were after in particular? Some of those drum fish appeared to be a good eating size. Just wondered why you never kept them. Or are they not a good eating fish? I am all for catch and release. Anyway, awesome video, and definitely my favorite way to catch them.

Cole, you cast pretty well for a guy who throws hard tackle a lot. The big mistake most people make is bending their wrist, which is a hard habit to break. Good job on landing those fish in that current on light-ish gear. If you ever try for really big fish you may want to go to a 9 or 10 weight rod and line. I enjoyed the video very much.

I totally love catfish but I can't find it anywhere in the stores because all the catfish are farm raised from China and I won't eat it, I don't have a way for the meetings to catch him from a river

Why does everyone cut the fillet off the tail. If you leave it attached you can start the cut and use your fingers to get between the meat and skin. It pulls right off and takes seconds
