Cleaning away all that bbq goodness if you ask me. Clean your grates, wipe away the bits and bites on the bottom and you're good to go.

Do not allow cooking grates to soak in water **literally has grates sitting in a bucket of water**

they are not sitting, meaning staying there for long. She just wash them which includes soaking them or sitting for few minutes. That is fine.

Does anyone know how to put the grates on? Which grates go on the bottom? The black shiny ones or the cast iron grates?

The Porcelain Shiny Grates go on the bottom and the Cast iron on top. Make sure to Season your cast iron grates. You can coat them with vegetable shortening or vegetable oil both sides and all rods and corners, heat your grill to medium for about 20 minutes. Shut your grill off and let the grates cool to finish the seasoning.

@@TheTubeMeister I think there are instructions that would indicate what to do, anytime I've ever bought new cast iron, I always clean it first w mild soapy water once and never again and my cast irons look great....so personally, I would

Once a year is a good idea. Helps preserve the grill and keeps it lasting longer

Do you think pressure washer is good for saving time ?

Hi Christian, we don’t recommend using a pressure washer to clean your BBQ. A pressure washer can damage or remove the paint on your grill, so it is best to use a garden hose. Most parts won’t require high pressure for cleaning. For the interior burner box cleaning, it is best to do a good scraping of baked on grease with a plastic scraper.
