As a saxophone expert, this guy might secretly be the best sax player of all time, and definitely the most original. The technique he is using for many parts of this song is actually insanely difficult.

Even though i dont care about sax players, Colin is a sight to behold. He is basically emulating an orchestra with a fu****g sax.

@Summonick2 Basically Aboriginal didgeridoo players have been using these techniques (circulair breathing, using voice in a wind instrument) for ages allready. Just check it for instance this didge player kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jMd2n5ql0Lyrip8.html . Nevertheless Colin has created a truly unique sound on a copper wind instrument

@@marionow6227 right yeah, I’ve known of these techniques and their origin. Performing them At a consistent level on the various saxophones he makes use of is truly remarkable; I’ve personally met and played with several of the best sax players of our time and even they are not quite capable of this sort of thing

@@Summonick2 When you see him live, you look for the other musicians. It is so hard to believe that it is one man alone who does it all. The circular breathing, didgeridoo-like, is incredible.

Just saw him perform this at the Chapel in SF last night. Truly breathtaking. The video cannot capture how much harmonic richness is coming from that sax. Like a tidal wave of harmonics. If you have the chance to see him live, don’t sleep on it!

This music is truly special and has opened a channel in my soul. I can't put it all into words. Endless colors of emotion encoded into these vibrations. I live with a horrid disease that has rendered me useless. It has taken everything from me. I still have music though. My darkest moments in pain and suffering are made still with the power of music. The voices of angels and the groan of demons all in perfectly synchronous symphony of mathematic perfection! Music is the voice of our souls and those souls are all connected. The music of Colin frees my mind from the weight and hell of this world! I feel connected to the world and the sounds he makes with his sax are perfect audio analogs for our human emotions. Thank you Mr. Stetson you are a genius!!

@@lunapathfinder9102 We all have a cross to bare I guess. I'm sorry, I know it well! I too have had to take on extreme depression, losing the ability to walk, work and some days dress myself come with some heavy emotion. Never being able to drive again was one that really dented my sense of self and pride. I'm sorry you are suffering and hope you find more music to free you from darkness! I'm proud my comment resonated with you! I battled depression and fear of basically everything growing up. I got through it. Don't let it hold you back!! Art was my life saver. Blessed to see this man live for the third time tonight, first time on acid, planned to perfection: dropped 2.5 tabs at 7:15PM, the comeup was with the supporting act, and hit the peak with Colin's utterly sublime performance. Cannot be explained how absolutely mind blowing, on whatever drug you want or even better, totally sober, the experience is. Union Chapel acoustics were perfect, a truly truly truly special performance.
