IIRC Mythbusters had a lot of restrictions from their insurance company and sometimes had to alter or forget myths because insurance wouldn't cover what they wanted to do. I assume Colin lives somewhere with single-payer? Stereotyping based on the accent.

@@soap7004 As a matter of fact I have, but given the fact I've broken my ankle twice, sailed half a mile with 2 broken fingers due to an accident not caused by me, had a dislocated shoulder 3 times now, had food poisoning, had a piece of my thumb chopped off (yes that actually happened) amongst other things, all while being very careful with what I do, I don't think joking about non-existing safety measurements is particularly funny.

It's obvious that those machines are flawed and just look cool, but you have to appreciate the immense work he puts into designing these flawed junks into something workable. He has been injured in every single one of these sponsorships, each time a different place. Give him some credit, everyone needs money to live off of.
