I'm so glad Jean said that about Nintendo being serious about hitting 60 frames. Because I've been saying for a while that Nintendo is going to have the first console with a nearly 100% 4K60 library. Because other consoles even though they have the power to hit that benchmark the developers of games aren't going to optimize for it but Nintendo will once they are ready

Consoles continue to sell long after they become last-gen. Switch will surpass PS2, likely after Super Switch releases, unless Sony comes out again with another "jk, we sold 10M more" number xD

53:05 I feel that, whenever he didn’t get us any of the big brand handheld consoles, my grandfather would get me and my sister these pixel handhelds that had games like Tetris or pong on it and we’d play those for hours. He was always fascinated by tech regardless of it was the smallest gadget, I would say I inherited that from him.

I think a 2D Zelda is in the cards, remaster or otherwise. EDIT: Final Fantasy 17 needs to be on Switch 2 if they want to grow the brand beyond their current marketshare.

even if switch 2 is more powerful than a steamdeck the battery life clearly, in portable, isnt gonna be able to play a game like ff7 rebirth for more than an hour or so.

Totally agree with the take on Paper Mario. I played it on Gamecube back when it came out and it was great, but I'm not paying a premium for it at this point. Also, I just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and I felt like I didn't need to play the previous games to understand what was going on until the end and then playing the DLC (future redeemed). Now I kinda feel like going back and playing Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2.

Dude Pyre is such a weird game but I love it. The only game I haven't beaten from Super Giant is Transistor. I need to go back and give it another shot.

The path to passing PS2 is fairly simple: price drop across the board on the current Switch. $129 lite, $299 OLED and drop the 'non' OLED model. Maybe introduce a couple more colors for the 'gotta collect em all' crowd.

Gene the dogs in the Drake video are referencing his album For All the Dogs lol but I feel ya, does not look good. The sounds Akademiks was listening to her was apparently his ex girlfriend freaking out on him but I don't give that guy any of my mental space lol
