Collaborate better using Sheet View in Excel

3 жыл бұрынCollaborating and co-authoring in Excel can be frustrating. If one person changes the worksheet view - applying filters and sorting - it applies for all users. This can be really disruptive.
Fortunately, Excel offers a feature called "Sheet View" which lets you create a temporary view just for you. In this view, your custom changes won't impact others and their custom views won't impact yours.
This is a great feature to use whenever you're working in a shared Excel file.

But this doesn't work for hidden columns/cells. Do you know a way where only myself can see hidden columns/row? Everytime i do it at work, it affect everybody's work? Thank you in advance

I shared my excel on one drive. however, can't open it .Excel Online it exceeds the 25 MB file size limit. any solution?

I noticed if filtering is disabled it disables it for everyone.

Hi Andy, related question, is there any tip for "Custom View" to work on sheets with Tables? I'd like to hide/show few columns

Thanks Andy. Very helpful indeed. How do I prevent multiple collaborators editing each other's entries. In other words, I want my students to provide certain information in the same sheet, but I don't want to allow anyone edit another's text. Is there a way to do this?

Any idea how you can do this same thing on older sharepoint versions? Specifically Sharepoint Server 2019?

Hi, can we disable the option see everyone's by just keeping just see mine option, while multiple users are accessing the excel for filtering.
