Gerry, for a near ten year old tractor, that 6930 looks to be in showroom condition. Fair play to you - it takes time, effort and money to keep machinery in the excellent condition that you do, and I just wanted, as a non-farmer, to record my appreciation and respect.

Nice one. I delivered a few container loads of spuds to that Meade Potato spot years ago, I think that roadway you referred to is only in it about 10 years if I'm not mistaking? I remember having to be careful with which roads to use to get to it as anyone not familiar with the area could get a truck jammed in narrow spots.

Friend of mine is feeding sugar beet, takes 100 cows 3 weeks to get through a ton of it 50 euro a ton tid great stuff for putting fat on alright, great video 👍

Great video as always. What type of power washer are you using and would you recommend it? Actually it might make a good video to go through some of the main tools you use and what you like and don’t like

Yes I yes a Karcher 601 hot/cold type. Good machine. Karcher make good stuff. Yes that could be an interesting video on the tools. I’ll work on that.

I think they’re a mic of roosters and pinks. Yea you could pick your dinner out of them no problem. Most are thrown out for being a funny shape or have sone little mark on them. Silly really

@@gerry6420 I worked with potato and tillage farmer through the 80's & 90's.I remember when the roosters were first produced and we would have loads of large out of shape tubers, cracked etc and the market wouldnt accept them, so we personally used them and some local chippies use to take some, the rest were cattle feed.Sure its the same with carrots etc just because they are not the perfect shape, they are not accepted in the food chain.A total waste of a perfect foodstuff, while half the world die of starvation 🤬😭😢

Brilliant stuff Gerry 👍🏻 Is that steel sheeting you have blocking up the the mesh on the front of the trailer?

Yes galvanised sheeting. It come on those trailers when new to stop grain falling through the mesh. It just slides in. Idea is for silage you just slide it out and you can see into the trailer.

Beet is 45-50€ ton this year Potatoes 25-35 a ton depending on them being washed and condition

Meades would be the last people id buy spuds from Gerry, they import cheap british seed and never buy local seed. Not one farmer in Ardee or the meath side will buy from them

Do you worry about animals choking on potatoes ? Would you not be inclined to run the potatoes through the beet chopper to be on a safe side?

no I wouldn’t be that worried. small spuds are actually more of an issue. larger one they chew up. I’ve chopped them before but beat chopper tends to let the smaller ones through anyway so I don’t bother chopping the spuds since
