I was there. I was at that stage for the heavier stuff like Sevendust and Megadeth, I remember being very impressed by Collective Soul's set. I called this as being their lead song.

Give me a moment Got to get this weight up off my chest Don't feed me sorrow Pain is a poison I digest Find yourself another soul to hold (You think, you thought, I know) Off upon my journey I must go (To where the river flows, to where the river flows) I'll give you answers To the questions you have yet to ask Silence is beauty Words, they only complicate the task Find yourself another soul to hold (You think, you thought, I know) Off upon my journey I must go (To where the river flows, to where the river flows) Make no more wishes All of my patience has been spent Gods of the season Lead me to my next incident Find yourself another soul to hold (You think, you thought, I know) Off upon my journey I must go (To where the river flows) Find yourself another soul to hold (You think, you thought, I know) Off upon my journey I must go (To where the river flows, to where the river flows, to where the river flows)

Yea, what was that about? You notice in their first solo, ED takes the mic stand behind the drum kit to get something worked on... when he returns, he keeps fidgeting with the tape until finally he just unwraps it... i’d love to hear from someone that knows what was happening here
@RetroSoulGirl2 жыл бұрын
@@philjones8609 From what Ed said before in interviews, I think he has an issue with what he hears being too quiet, that's why he said "turn up" in the song. He probably can't hear himself over the guitars. The tape thing could just be him wanting to get more maneuvers with the stand/mic.
