The 18th College Day function of the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences was held at the college auditorium on 07th April 2017 at 4.30 pm. The chief guest was Dr. M.K Ramesh, M.S., FRCS Registrar (Evaluation), Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The function was presided by Prof. Dr Sunil Muddaiah, Dean, Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences. The Principal Prof. Dr K C Ponnappa read the Annual Report. Ms. Parvathi Sudeep, President of the Student Council welcomed the gathering and the Mr. Tony Joseph Secretary gave the vote of thanks.
Dr. M.K Ramesh in his speech appreciated the effort of Dr.Sunil Muddaiah in bringing up the first and only professional health care Institution in the district. He congratulated this premier dental institute for producing fine dentists, clinicians and academicians, who have spread all over the world.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports and cultural events for the year 2016-17 by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
The formal function was followed by a cultural extravaganza performed by the students and faculty of the Institute.
