4 months of anticipation and a deferral later.... the college decision video is finally here!! This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am wishing nothing but the best for future applicants!

friendly reminder to withdraw your applications to other universities once you have committed somewhere!!!

This is excellent advice. When we knew there was a waitlist for a specific university, we asked our son to withdraw his application to that school once he committed elsewhere.

Congrats! I got rejected and waitlisted from all the schools I wanted to attend, (BU(my first choice) BC, NU, Harvard, RPI, WPI, VT) but everything always ends up okay! For upcoming applicants just know that all the dots won’t connect in this exact moment, but looking back, everything will be okay! Good luck to everyone! As bad as things seem to get, faith over fear will always hold true!

Congratulations on BU!! That is amazing!! I visited BU in 2019 and just loved my visit and it became one of my top 2 choices. I am from Washington state and going there sounded awesome! I got accepted to BU and I was so excited!!! For lack of a better way to say it, it'll sting to have to throw it away because while I got accepted, it's just not the most practical thing for me to go across the country at this time. I still have a great option in the University of Washington. I really loved BU and Boston as a city so much. I'll find a way to spend more time there!! Once again Congratulations!! Good luck and of course, have fun as well!!

Hey everyone. You should all know that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. I got waitlisted from UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCSB, Cal Poly and rejected from Berkeley. I was so upset because these were the school that I wanted. But then I got into UC Davis and I am so excited. I just visited and I totally love the school!!! My major is neurobiology, physiology, and behavior.

Wow we applied to a lot of similar schools - stony brook, northeastern, bing, bu. I got into BU also for data science! Congrats on BU!! I’m most likely going there too!

Yaasss congrats on all the acceptances! I graduated from BU last year with a BA in Environmental Analysis & Policy! It's so easy to feel at home at BU, and you'll have such a good (+ moderately stressful, but don't let that discourage you!) time studying SUCH an important subject. I'll be rooting for you - have fun learning how to make the world a better place!

@@tiki9791 I was undecided until I went to tour the campus with all the other accepted students, and I think just listening to current students talking about how much they love BU, seeing how diverse the students were (BU was MUCH more diverse than the other schools I was accepted to - I had never met people from other countries before, so having that experience was important to me!), and getting to attend a class during admitted students day really convinced me! BU is so different from your average American college, and you feel that uniqueness the moment you get to campus :)

63 students from your school applied to Brown? That's an absolutely insane amount to me. I think there were maybe 5 kids that applied there from my school😭

I'm a junior in high school right now and I'm scared to start applying for colleges and my SATs are in two days, I'm really not the best at test taking and my 9th and 10 grade years aren't the best for my grades. this is very stressful I've been thinking about this sence I started 11th grade do you have any advice?

Hi!! I know things may seem stressful rn but I promise that 9th and 10th grade don't have as much of an impact on an admission counselor's decision as you might think they would. I will mention it in my stats video soon but I didn't submit my SAT score (standardized tests are not and will never be my thing😭). I would recommend keeping up with extracurriculars bc I feel that was the most important factor in a majority of my acceptances!

The withdrawal thing is kinda weird to me but I guess it’s country difference bcs here everyone can ONLY apply to 5 universities and you don’t know when you’re going to hear back so it’s kinda up in the air

Congrats on your acceptances! Funny Colgate would send an environmental major (and likely many applicants) a pretty non-environmentally friendly and unnecessary swag packages. Come on colleges, walk the talk!
