A few questions from me. How many roommates do you have? Dose the dorm layout change depending on the amount of roommates??

Hi! It depends on what dorm you choose! So I’m the hive, the most common freshman dorm in Savannah & it’s suite style so there are 4 people to a room, you have 2 bedrooms with 2 people in each room and then a bathroom and common room. Turner is the other freshman dorm and it is like a traditional college dorm room with one large room for 2 people but it does have a bathroom inside of it! Most people like the hive cause it is more modern, but Turner is a bit less expensive! You can pick your roommates or just get assigned random but you typically request what building to live in!Hopefully that helps!

Hi! I’m trying to choose between residence hall right now , can you tell me which hall is the closest to classes and the dining hall?

I believe all the dorms have dining halls in them, and no one building it’s closest to the classes because SCAD is spread out throughout the city, any of them are walkable and drivable/use buses

It’s sometimes can be very hard being away from home, I miss my family a lot but overall I do love it! And I don’t listen to tons of music so I don’t really have an answer for you, but it would be a country music artist if I did!

Hey Molly, Thank you so much for all your videos on SCAD! I attend in the fall and was really hoping you could help me out. I was wondering how did you do your pictures on your wall? like what did you use to keep them up? and also how did you hang up the three canvases on your other wall? Im trying to get an idea of what to do for decor in my room but can't decide because im not sure how to hang stuff up.

Command strips for all of them! I used the Velcro poster strips for the heavy pictures and just the little picture strips for the photos! They are the best and I was careful taking them down so they didn’t rip any paint!

Hi Molly - So much great info here! Wondering what do you do for dirty clothes in the dorm room? I was thinking of using just a laundry basket, but no room under the bed for it if I use your suggestion to use the storage drawers there. Would a large laundry basket fit inside the bottom of the wardrobe? Thanks!

I had a laundry bag that stood straight up and I put mine in between my roommate and I’s nightstands since we had the space and she kept hers under her bed. If you don’t have a lot of shoes or clothes i definitely think you could fit one in the wardrobe but it would need to be vertical since it’s a bit narrow! You could also keep one under your nightstand if you do the drawers like I did! It should fit fine!

Thanks Molly! Wish SCAD would put the dimensions of the wardrobe somewhere. Would you know roughly what the width of each wardrobe section is? Sounds like you're saying it's too narrow to put a normal-sized laundry basket at bottom. Tall, narrow hamper doesn't work, will need room for clothes/shoes. The toilet area looks huge. Would there be room to put 4, tall, narrow laundry baskets there for all the suite mates? Also, what do the Hive rooms come with for the windows? Seems like I've seen both roller-type shades and blinds. Many people seem to be put up curtains. How did you put up yours without using screws/nails? @@mollyokeefe22

I would def put the laundry baskets in the toilet room if you want to, it's huge and we kept all our cleaning supplies and products in there! The windows just have a thin blind that I was fine with, but you can add a tension rod with a curtain if you want. We had blackout curtains cause my roommate wanted them.

Thank you again for your help! I think I saw somewhere that you can actually use Command Strips (since nails/screws isn't allowed) to put up a black-out curtain rod as I don't think an extension rod would work with them. Best to you!

I'm starting SCAD in the fall and something that's been worrying me a lot lately is wether or not it's okay and safe for me to bring my PC. Anybody know if anyone else has brought their PC or if we're even allowed to bring such a large computer?

I believe it is 7ft x 10ft! It fit perfect under both beds, pretty much touching the wall on both sides!

What’s the measurement from the floor to the bottom of your bed?

I have drawers that are each 10” tall and stacked by 2 and fit perfectly, so I’d say about 20-21”

@@leftfield7768 Hi! My roommate wanted blackout curtains, so she bought a tension rod that we hung between the wall of the window! I would say that was the easiest was to do it, but I'm sure you could do command hooks too!

I want to say they were about 20 inches tall, I do not know for sure but I believe the drawers are linked in this description so you can go check to see their dimensions! 2 fit perfectly stacked on top of each other
